Although I have my ss card, birth certificate, TN valid driver's license, proof of residency car insurance & Texas tags on my car, that's still not enough to get a TX driver's license. This is my 2nd time - with an appointment - attempting to get my license. Now I have to get a copy of the receipt of registration from the tax office and will have to wait until September for another appointment for my license. It's funny because I'm working in TX as well, and they don't mind taking my money everywhere I go, but they will not provide a Texas born, USA citizen to get a driver's license. To quote a movie,"People need a passport to come down here". Ridamndiculous.

Customer Service was Great. Had Zero issues. As I was in line I saw lots of people turned away because they didn't have an appointment & to schedule is month in advance. My suggestion is book in advance. You know your license is gonna expire soon, book ahead of time. I get it that things happen, you lose or misplaced your license. Understand that the employees are people too. They are just doing Their Jobs. A lot of times they get attitude from people & of course they won't help the more you give attention & bad body language. Try approaching with better attitude/body language & maybe they can help. Of course they can't help every single person, but it's worth a try. Remember at the end of the day it's us people that need our license not the employees

Horrible experience! If this thing would give me the option of rating a zero star I would. The person making you take the test with will fail you for the stupidest thing ever. This is the second time I take my test and failed again. I don’t think it takes 7 minutes to decide if I passed or not. It the person testing you who fails you, either because she did not like you.

The people that work here are so friendly and professional! They are very attentive, welcoming, and ready to answer any concerns you may have. I forgot some paperwork and never once did I feel like an inconvenience. All 4 workers who helped me were very accommodating. Definitely recommend coming to this location

Right now you have to book an appointment for EVERYTHING. Sometimes you might be lucky but i wouldn't risk it
I just went back and fourth on the phone, that system isn't the best. You can go online and schedule an appointment.

Hi, my understanding is. For the purpose of employment-an expired ID/License is acceptable. Having said that, you can't drive with an an expired license. Best of luck!
