I have to say I've never seen a place so poorly run and so corrupt it's not even funny and it started from the top with Linda and her little minions . What ever you do don't complain to the city of Lawrence especially the board of health or any other departments of the city Linda has a lot of crooked people around her and if you decide to do that she and her employees will make it harder to be there . Do your self a favor and put in for a transfer this is a unsafe place for you and your family . I could go on for days . Nobody wants to be in a place like this period but keep your head up don't get attached to anyone keep to yourself and keep it moving . Good luck to you. This is why i called it Casa Vida Loca

My family and I stayed there for a little over a year,when I tell you I was so scared having never been in a shelter before and I was going with my twins (infants) and a teenager, when I got there they met me outside and helped me bring my family and stuff I had inside,after talking to them they made me feel as ease as I could while staying there they was very helpful and very understanding they really treated my kids like family thanks to< Andrew ,rosie,Arlene and Darlene> we are now in our own apartment and the kids still ask for them thank y'all so much for making a hard time into a positive one.

POOR & Unjust Management. Linda Johnson, an Assistant Director, is NOT following Protocol or RULES for any ones Safety here. She even supports allegations from a Guy Daniel Roman, who has used a False Identity, & Lies to secure his own temporary shelter. Hes even gone as far to make a restraining order, 1818 RO 0923 against many of the Shelter guests, Making False statements & casuing Drama, using False ID, of his own Brother name, who resides in Springfield Mass. The Court Judge Katie McDonald Court room 9 here in Lawrence, MA are allowing this to happen, With out even validating his REAL ID or Name & having the Restraining Order stay in Effect till One Year From NOW. 3/26/19 All of this is Illegal & the outcome of all of these Lies is Forcing people With Children to get Evicted & Transferred OUT of there. Unlawful & Retaliation Eviction, Illegal Transfer.. No one in Mediation or any one at the Court could recommend a fair solution. *><*><*><PLEASE READ.!!!! *><*><*>< Please do not donate to this shelter.!!! The residents in this shelter doesnt see any donations that is brought to this place.!!!!! It all gets trashed or staff takes it for their families.!!!! This shelter DOESNT help the needy at all.!!! This is a "family shelter". I wanted to provide some information for the public. 1. If you get placed here, get a transfer ASAP. 2. If you like being involved in drama on a daily basis. ..this is the place for you. Staff also loves the drama. 3. This shelter only feeds you dinner 4 times a week (Monday-Thursday) You DONT get breakfast or lunch. Friday-Sunday you need to provide your own food. Also staff does not share any "house" food they buy. (Most people dont realize those are our food stamps that buys the house food). 4.The shelter does not properly prepare food. (Leaves cooked meat seating out for long periods of time, they dont wear gloves or washes their hands before preparing the food) 5. The rules are outrageous. (You will find out if you're ever placed there) 6. The office staff doesnt direct you to programs that could help you get out of shelter. They will leave you sitting there to figure it out instead of helping. 7. The will report you to DCF for anything.! Within the 2 years i was there i have dealt with bedbugs, lice, mice, mold, bee's . The ceilings are falling apart in there. The house alone is falling apart. The place tends to floor sometimes. Theres just so much wrong with this place it's to much to type. Like i said in the beginning get a transfer out of there ASAP. Thats the only way you're going to save your family. ( they love to see a family destroyed) I hoped this helps a little bit.
