Stayed w hubby while on vacation. A woman named Jamie checked us in, super friendly and professional. Helped us get settled in. I asked if she is the owner and she stated no that she was the front desk clerk. I applauded her on how absolutely professional, kind and caring she was, I joked with her she should be the owner or manager due to her professional nature. It was a long drive for us and we were exhausted. I got top notch service from Jamie. She even gave us recommendations for a quick dinner. Will come back again as she was the best. Room was clean and stay was nice, quiet and everything was smooth. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was clean. I hope the rest of your staff is as good as Jamie was. 5 stars.

we were camping at a festival not far from the Best Western Joshua Tree hotel, and my wife and i and our three kids all caught a terrible stomach bug. we needed the comfort of a hotel room to ride this out. when i called the hotel it was already past 11:30 pm, and i was worried it would be a hassle to get a room at that hour and we needed to get off the road asap. the clerk Phillip answered the phone and as soon as i told him what was going on, he immediately went into helper mode and told us he would be ready for us to arrive. when we did arrive, he wasted no time getting us to our room. Phillip, and the next day's clerk, Celia, were so very kind, understanding, and helpful. they gave us extra waters because we were all dehydrated, and they researched stores that were open late where we could get medicine and supplies. when i had to go back to camp to pack up alone, staff told me not to worry about checking out on time and they were extending us a courtesy of not charging us for a late check-out or an extra night. and i am also aware they planned to go into our room and do a full sanitizing cleaning, as well as not rent the room out right afterwards so as to be double safe our stomach bug did not pass on to the next guests. this was very responsible and made us feel safe. on top of all that the room was fully equipped w a full kitchen, two very comfy beds, and a great shower in the bathroom. the furniture and aesthetic was classic and comfortable. i have never written a google review before today, but the service at this hotel was so important to our safe return home, i had to share with the world this is a very good hotel. from this day on, i will always check for a best western first anytime i have to book a hotel room.

Hospitality is dead and this hotel proves it. Check in lady was nasty and unfriendly. Anything over 1 day is considered extended stay and you must request housekeeping. Very rudely pointed out to us. So if you are in the other building and forget to request housekeeping you could find yourself running across the parking lot at 1 am to get toilet paper from the rude lady that checked you in. In general I've never been so uncomfortable in a hotel. The room was big but far from cleanly.

Filthy room. Dirty mirror, dried urine stains on toilet bowl rim, towel with a crusty stain (use your imagination). Took it up front, was given a new towel, no apology. Tried to get a new room, but was not able to since we had been in the room for 20 min and housekeeping wasn’t available to clean it for another guest. Offered to spray it down myself to be able to switch to another room. The jetted tub (which I didn’t really want to get in now) only had 2 jets working which is annoying when you’re paying extra for that. TV didn’t work until I unplugged and plugged all the cables back in. The shower head slid down the wall despite being tightened on the rail (we got put in the ADA room which sucks for two tall able bodied people). Tried to go up front the next morning to ask for another room. Was told they were sold out and couldn’t move us despite a number of people checking out in line. No one cared. I get this isn’t the Four Seasons. I’ve stayed here before and it was fine. It’s frustrating because no one even tried to help other than knocking $20 off the bill which is actually more insulting than staying in a terrible room. I couldn’t care less if I get a response to this because it doesn’t do anything to help (which seems to be a theme here). But at least the sign at the front says the hotel wants to “Make It Right” if you’re having a bad experience. I suggest taking it down.
