I am a very experienced driver and have worked all over the country. Some of my best jobs were with food distribution. Unfortunately when I went to (usfoods) for there open house and went through there interview process for a driver position they mostly focused on my age. Saying such things like it's a labor intensive job, lots of stops. Heavy boxes etc. Which my knowledge and driving skills I definitely passed there interview. But I feel it was age discrimination that prevented my hiring. The interviewer kept saying its a young man's game. And how he retired from driving because of the work, etc. And is this something I could handle. I do construction and demo so ya. But I will never go back there because of the way I was treated. Greenline apio is one of the food companies I worked for and if I didn't move back to new hampshire I'd still be there. Great management and equipment. And age doesn't matter.. and as of right now I haul for Hannafords on weekends and still do construction.

Hi I read but nobody post, u can checking 5am, but they call u by appointment. I got here 8 am my app 9:30.am convoy always lies to the driver. appointment was 10 am .us call me 8:30, am starting unload 8:54 am

I had 6am appointment today and I checked in at 5:10am. Receiving open at 5:30am and I checked out delivered at 7am. I was delivering only 2 pallets. Guard at entrance is respective nice senior citizen and receiving lady is super nice too. But they don’t allow overnight parking.

You need an appointment and you cant show up too early, unless you’re lucky. You can be about 1 hour early. Receiving is 20 and 21. You will check in at gate, park across from docks and go into receiving. You will need to take your seals and paper work with you. Make use to put your phone number at the top of the BOL. They will either tell you what dock or call you with one. Make sure to slide tandems, chock and disconnect red air line. You will either be texted or contacted in person for lumper fee. Green light you can get your bills.
