My partner and I stayed here 7/1/2022 and would have stayed longer if it wasn't fully booked for 4th of July weekend. Mark and Livvi are great people and super accommodating. They picked us up at the airport and showed us around the area / gave local recommendations. We ended up rescheduling our glacier tour after Mark mentioned there was a city parade for the 4th. Overall, really great hosts! The cabins themselves were charming and had what you needed for a short stay: coffee, stove, purified water. Appreciated mosquito nets on the door and the electric fly swatter. The area is scenic and we had the privilege of seeing a baby moose just outside our window. The cabins are a little outside of town, about a 15 minute walk. 10/10, would stay here again.

Livvi and Mark are super responsive and very accommodating. Planning a trip to Alaska can be very stressful, especially when you are travelling with a larger group. Livvi and Mark answered all our questions and provided valuable information. No surprise Blackburn Cabins is mentioned in the MOON Alaska travel guide.

Excellent choice for a rustic McCarthy cabin experience. Owners Mark and Libby have built everything by hand... all the cabins and ‘off the grid’ comforts you could want. Their insights into local history and lore are legendary. If we’re ever back in the area again soon, we’ll definitely stay here!

I have stayed at Blackburn Cabins 4 times now over the past 3 years and it has been one of the most enjoyable experiences of my time in Alaska. Quiet and out of the way, the cabins campgrounds offer well heated cabins with running water and fully stocked cookware. The area is so peaceful and relaxing. I look forward to staying at Blackburn Cabins again each year.

Hello Sergio! I'm sorry for my Spanish! It's good to come here in summer. July and August are good tables to visit. near the end of august it is possible to see the northern light as well. See you! Does it come with a rump?
