You're a human that wants top grade seafood: go to new deal fish market, get top grade seafood, be happy. It's really that simple. The dry scallops are a special diamond among diamonds, as good and often better than what you'll find at local sushi joints. This is a no brainer, buy your seafood here, really.

Bought a pound of otoro that we paid $49 a lb for was extremely chewy. Barely edible. When you cut it, you know right then if it's tough and they have knives and had to cut it so they knew...so not cool. Besides that, the blue fin was good so 3 stars average.

I've never seen any fish as beautiful as the ones I got from New Deal! The tuna and salmon I got were very delicious, and definitely sashimi-grade. Price is on the high side, but definitely worth it for some of the freshest fish I've ever had.

Great place for fresh fish, got some beautiful sea bass and scallops for a sashimi ceviche (marinated for 15 min).

Hi Lisa, Thanks for your question. I feel it is necessary to expand on the first responder's reply. We do not have a "sushi/sashimi grade" section of our display case. All seafood is carefully displayed on ice and the utmost care is taken to ensure quality and safety. Many, not all, of our offerings can be consumed with minimal or no cooking. Our approach to quality and safety is based on decades of experience. In the 30 plus years that my staff or I have served fresh seafood that was deemed safe to consume raw, I have yet to receive a complaint about anyone acquiring a food born illness. Hopefully this helps and I welcome you to New Deal Fish Market whenever you're in the mood for preparing the best seafood meal. Carl
I am not sure about your question so I would ask you to call the fish market directly. (617) 876-8227
No. We sell live Jonah crabs from our local ocean.
Sure do. In 13.58 oz cans.
Very good here. Three allowed in the store at a time only and customers outside were all socially distancing while in line.
We currently don't sell crab cakes. Though, it could find it's way onto our evolving Prepared Foods Menu in the future. We do carry crabmeat on Fridays and Saturdays if you want to make your own. I would call and have us reserve the crabmeat if you intend on coming in to buy some. It does sell quick as it is crabmeat made from local rock crabs. $17.99 for 8oz. container.
Hello, We do get whole grouper occasionally but can get some if you call in an order. They range in size from 3lb to 10lb each and sell for $10-$13 per pound. We do all the cleaning and preparation for our customers except for cooking the fish. if you are interested in ordering the grouper or any other fresh fish/shellfish feel free to contact us at (617) 876-8227. Thank You
They usually have a selection of tinned fish in oil, but their lobster generally comes fresh, not canned
I believe they had packet miso to make yourself.
Sometimes they do also, they can usually source a hellalot seafood. This place rocks for all seafood!!!
