I lived here for four years. It’s a really nice community. I loved taking my dog to university lake every morning which is right down the street. There’s also a lot of different biking trails nearby. The apartments are quiet since they are tucked away into a neighborhood. I never had issues with parking ever. Everyone seems respectful and the move out process was very smooth. Samantha is very professional and friendly which is more than I could ask for when dealing with apartment management. All of the staff is extremely friendly. I highly recommend Greenbriar. -Kelly and Kein.

Edit:::: sadly changing my review. Since the old management left this place is going down hill so fast. While the new main lady is nice she allows certain tenants to get away with everything. Parking is a huge issue that is now way worse. Over by the office there’s handicap parking, in which certain people can park without getting in trouble. There’s parking blocked for plowing for winter which the rope was cut by tenants multiple times and now is left down and people park there, sideways and do this everyday with no warnings or consequences. As an older person the little amount of plowing and gravel that was not safe at all. Tenants are unruly with loud base, parties, and drug use. I believe there is now two new office workers, and hopefully that’ll help catch up the slack. While Greenbriar is one of the cheaper places, management is nice. But needs to follow through with the rules, or soon no one will care about the rules at all. There are also no plug ins for winter anymore they’ve all been removed. Security still sucks though I know management has little control over that. See original review below. The best thing about this place is the two wonderful ladies that work in the office. Maintenance is usually very helpful and responsive as well. If it wasn’t for the two ladies in the office I’d give a 3 star review. Having kind and helpful individuals to communicate with makes a huge difference. It is also hard to find decent apartments at affordable prices which greenbrier does have. The two complaints I have are; dealing with other residents who don’t respect quiet hours and blast their music in their homes and cars. And second issue is the parking by the office. Very tight for larger vehicles and even with smaller vehicles it can be an issue especially in the winter. While the units could use updates and more safety features outside; more lighting, security cameras, and the security company actually patrolling... having good landlords (office ladies) has made those issues more bearable.

Apartments are well maintained and reasonably priced. Neighbors aren't terribly loud and it pretty much quiets down completely at night. All in all a fine and livable space. Management is the shining star of Greenbriar. Sarah and Emily have been exceptionally helpful with every request and have never once sounded inconvenienced in the slightest. I've never had the feeling that I'm being had or conned, and every notification or phone call is pleasant, professional, and timely. This may be the only Weidner complex in Anchorage I can't find a complaint for. In my opinion Sarah and Emily should be hosting training seminars for the rest of the company. Hands down the best.

I cannot say enough positive things about my experience in this apartment complex or with all of the amazing employees that work here! Emily and Sarah were both incredibly informative throughout my whole visit and leasing process. I have only lived here for a short time but have already had great experiences with my neighbors, and Kyle the maintenance guy is super speedy to fix anything that I submit a request about. Everything about this apartment is just perfect for me and my pup! I love the location, all of the awesome amenities, and especially the sweet people in my leasing office!!
