We had originally booked a week here, with full hook-ups for my parents to use during their visit. Life happens and we ended up having to cancel those reservations and my parents trip got postponed. We ended up calling for a monthly spot, when life threw a curveball and we'd already given up the keys to the house we were renting, to put our family summer adventures on hold. Thankfully, our children are resilient and they absolutely LOVE that there are other kids here, a playground for them to play at, volleyball, tetherball, corn-hole, fishing right here with a fish cleaning station, kayaks to rent for the river, campfires for every spot and gazebos for them to sit and play. The people are great and the atmosphere is great. We absolutely love the family feel and ended up renting one of the cabins for the winter, much to our kids absolute delight! Now, there are still a few things getting worked on around here, I never personally came here before the new ownership, but I have heard it is so much better than it had been. Cons for me personally; The showers and bathrooms upstairs, people make a mess of. They need to update a few things, my understanding is it's all a work in progress still. Yes, the bathrooms and showers are cleaned daily, but people don't clean up after themselves all the time, so every now and then you find hair nests in the shower, handsoap taken for someone to use in the shower in place of body soap, toilet paper out in the 1 toilet stall, trash around the floor and needing picked up. Easy things. Lack of public family shower. I have 5 kids, I'd personally prefer a family bathroom and shower to get everyone done and through at the same time. Laundry is more than I thought it would be, but convenient for a quick load or 2, the main washing we end up taking to Big Lake, 8 miles away, once a week. WiFi - it's spotty and not a very good signal, if any, 90% of the time. I find this inconvenient, as a family that enjoys family movies 2-3 nights a week, and a year round homeschooling family.

Place is a dump in my opinion, everyone is crammed in right on top of each other, your basically paying $30 a night to camp in a dirt parking lot with access to the creek, not my idea of camping.

Our 1st stop for being full time rvers. We've heard stories about rv campgrounds, not sure what to expect. Wow! It was AWESOME! We stayed during memorial weekend-the park was full,, but peaceful.. they have laundry, showers, river access for canoes/kayaks and a playground. Staff was very helpful and friendly. I definitely recommend Riverside RV & Campground!!
