So normally I like TSC but today was a really poor experience... I ordered a pellet stove online and came to the store to pick it up. After waiting 30mins I was told to drive around back so that they could load it...After it was loaded on the truck the employees literally just left without verifying anything, opening the box, or checking model numbers... fortunately My gut instinct told me I should check it out before I drive away. The stickers on the box had a different model #. I opened up the top of the box and found that it was a completely different stove. The stove they loaded up onto my trailer was actually significantly more expensive (pelpro TSC90 vs PP130, $400 more!!) . Although I would’ve loved to of taken the more expensive stove I knew the right thing to do was to let them know. When I approached them they insisted I had the right Stove. to the point of almost arguing with me, Stating multiple times “we only sell one pelpro stove.” It wasn’t until I brought them outside and open the lid and prove to them that it was the wrong stove that they were accepted It. They went on a search for the new one. After finally finding the proper one they brought it out to my trailer and upon inspection the entire front was damaged due to the forks from the fork truck being driven into it… Finally after the third attempt I received my proper stove. The entire ordeal took over two hours… had I just accepted the stove they gave me, I would’ve had a significantly nice for Stove, and saved two hours of frustration … Update: 11.10.20: Got around to unboxing the stove this weekend to set it up. Upon removing the plastic found paint to be chipping around the lids and the sides to be scuffed and scratched... Not worth the hassle to bring it back since its been carried up 2 flights of stairs to its final resting place; the whole situation has been very frustrating.... Hoping to fire it up tomorrow once the sealant has dried on the venting joints.... hope everything goes as planned....
