Wonderful park. The upper section near the road is full of lush green areas to hang out and there is a lovely gazebo that is a common photo area. Farther down the hill are some benches where you can look down and out to nature. At the bottom of the hill you can park and walk farther down to a community garden and there is a well maintained field. There are a series of trails that are available for walking or off road biking. If you want to get out in nature in the city this is a great place to go.

A truly wonderful surprise today discovering this hidden gem in the heart of Manchester. Never knew it existed, always visited near by Livingston Park. Stark Park on a rolling great hill leads to a small trail system, well maintained with bridges and spots to take in the beauty along the river. The Heritage Trail also connects and runs for miles beyond the park.

Well maintained inner city park in Manchester's beautiful north end. Numerous park benches and shade trees to enjoy a relaxing stroll. There is also a gorgeous gazebo for taking photos in. Check out Friends of Stark Park website for ongoing events, including an assortment of bands as part of their wonderful summer concert series! Also, on the westbend of the park is the final resting place of Major General John Stark - the park's namesake.

This park very well maintained , not a children's park as in ...a playground, there is a huge gazedo stage area , you can go on line to see whose playning there. Bring your own chairs! Beautiful sprawling area to let the kids run and have a picnic. I was blown away at the size of the Statue of General Stark , absolutely stunning.

No there is not.
Yes it is the same park that has the cannon and gazebo visible.
Stark is a public park. Daughters of the American Revolution help take care of it and so does the, Friends of Stark Park. The only thing that comes to mind is, if it's needed, is permission from the city. So call city clerk or city hall to be on the safe side, i would say. Or maybe ,Parks and Recreation. I think the season events are done with, I'd say call them. Marriage, wow. Nice stuff. Good day.
