Stunning area with picturesque ruins. Fantastic for families, photographers or explorers locally. The only sad part is some sub-par graffiti on the inside of the tower? I wish there was more information available or a better parking lot but it seems like this place being hard to find may be advantageous for those trying to make it last longer. Be careful for the occasional glass bottle and ticks which are in the fields. Otherwise 10/10 spot

Parking on the side of the street. Long enough for about 4 or 5 cars. Nice lil walk up a semi steep hill. I was able to trek it with a healing fractured foot. Neat lil castle. We walked around and I imagined the use of it. Then I wondered the name of the person who built it. A Sir George came up.. but then I said no... Sir William... looked it up... and his name was infact General William Bancroft lol... weird! Wood in the fireplaces ready to be used! It's also said that the hill behind the castle was used as a hanging site.... oooo creepy!!

The old castle ruins that overlooks Gibbet Hill and rolling farm fields. Such a perfect spot for weddings, family photos, etc. The cows provided a perfectly timed interruption at our couples ceremony. Dinner was at the bottom of the hill at Forge and Vine. I love that we got views from the top of the hill AND bottom. Can’t wait to photograph more weddings here :-)

An incredible experience for anyone willing to hike the hills. Set amongst the rolling hills and scenic farmland castle, this early 19th century structure provides beautiful views and a VERY interesting experience for us paranormal investigation teams!

Yes most days. Sometimes it's closed for weddings
It is in Groton, Massachusetts. Lowell Rd, close to Main St, Groton. There is no admission fee. You park the car on the st.and walk up to he castle
Its more ruins than a castle. But alot still stands and it is definitely worth a visit. It's a beautiful spot, especially this time of year.
