Absolutely stunning scenery! The trails are well-kept and are perfect for beginner hikers. This is a must-visit location for all out of state visitors. FYI: There is a $5 day parking fee.

Love the Turnagain Arm Trail from this point, it’s close to Anchorage and quickly gets you up above the road for very Alaskan views. There are vault toilets on site. We spotted dall sheep from the trail this time and have crossed baths with hare and black bear in the past. Parking is $5 (card & cash accepted), Alaska State Parks annual pass holders park for no additional fees.

Great little water falls here. Plenty of parking both below and above the falls. We also saw some sheep way up high on the mountain behind the falls. Really good strip on our way to Homer.

Is great place to go on a day hike! There can be a lot of people on a beautiful day though so beware of others and also bear and moose. Please pick up after your dogs also. Went with a couple friends today And there are some spots that are pretty muddy but overall great trail condition. No place to throw dog waste away so had to take it home and throw it away though
