So, my son and I decided to stop off at ShuBrew for some lunch. My personal expectations were absolutely met. I ordered the “Fat Tuesday Noodle Bowel” and I ordered the Kids Nuggets with fries for my son. The service was fantastic and so was the food. If you have not tried ShuBrew you are missing out.

Great bar, very imaginative selection of beers that aren't just bonkers for bonkersness' sake-- they're very well done. The reach doesn't exceed the grasp. Also had some wonderful falafels, a squid taco (it wasn't the overcooked, inedible bar squid you might expect by any means), and a pretzel that seemed to have supernatural qualities.

Really hate to leave this review but had a really unfortunate experience. We (party of two) were seated immediately upon arriving on a busy Friday night and were taken to a table that was right beside the kitchen. Okay no big deal it’s a busy night. But upon sitting down there is no lighting, reading the menu is tough, the kitchen noises are much louder than we realized and there is heavy traffic of customers and wait staff around this lone table and a back room area. The food was great, the drinks were amazing. But the table we were seated at shouldn’t have existed. It clearly was a late add and because we were only a two top they reserved other tables for a larger party IF they came in. If it wasn’t for the absolute terrible afterthought of a table this would have easily been a 5 star review.

I had high hopes, but was left a little disappointed. I love hometown restaurants but this one maybe had an off day. The food took a long time and while waiting our table was swarming with flies. I ordered the frittata and it wasn’t very flavorful. It was super salty and had onions even though I said no onions. (They make me very sick) my no onion frittata had lots of onions and mane 3 pieces of tomato and a bunch of feta. The beet salad was wonderful and more of what I expected. The kids had over done burgers and I left hungry. We will try again, bc the reviews were great!
