Not from the area but stumbled upon this gem on a Saturday evening. The food is amazing. I had the Bison burger with fries. Best fries ever, and the burger was delicious. Hubby had the Sweet & spicy burger and also raved about how good it was. My friend had the black bean burger and a Caesar salad. The dressing was made in house, and it was fantastic. The only item that got a less than 5 star rating was the Reuben sandwich. The burgers and sandwich were reasonably priced (~$15 each) but be prepared if you’re going for an entree- $25+ (they did sound incredible though.) I live 5 hours away but plan on coming back because it’s THAT good. Upscale enough for a special occasion, but friendly and welcoming for a tasty meal with friends too.

5 Stars - Excellent Experience Tonight! Started the evening in the Tavern area while waiting on the rest of our party, creating another awesome product @ ooh and aah just a block away for my sister's birthday. Enjoyed a cocktail x2 and reviewed the menu until everyone arrived for our reservation. Once seated in their Speakeasy downstairs, our favorite family getaway, Jason once again is a miracle worker. Incredible work ethic & customer service! Knows the product well and goes above and beyond to make my family comfortable! Highly Recommended!

The Kaufman Tavern is fine dining north of Pgh. The smoked wings were amazing! Loved the sauces. The filet was a great cut and cooked to perfection! The crab cake was delicious! We will return again and again! Jason our server was a pro! Really this place is a gem!

Very beautiful, historical building with an exquisite atmosphere. Plentiful selection of alcoholic beverages. Highly recommend the crab and craw fish dip with pita bread. The staff was very attentive and personable. Definitely will be returning!
