It's an active senior living community, membership restricted to ages 55+ (at least one person in the household). You purchase your own home, but the land underneath is owned by the cooperative. There's a monthly lot rental fee that covers water and sewer services and weekly trash pickup, maintenance and snow plowing of the development's private roads, and the maintenance and upkeep of the community's two clubhouses and all of the common areas. Lot rent does NOT include routine home maintenance tasks, lawn care, or snow clearing of your own driveway.
