Let's face it, it's a state store. The place, though small is well stocked with an ample variety of liquors and wines. However, if you're looking for a wider selection, you'll be better served going to their larger stores. The distinguishing thing about this location is the staff, including the security guard. They are all friendly and extremely helpful. For today, the security guard held the door open on the way in. Also, the staff always asks you whether you found everything you need or if you need assistance finding something

I had a list of things I was interested in &/or that I had never tried before. All employees helped me search for everything & made helpful suggestions. The gentlemen who helped me were polite, helpful & knowledgeable of their products. I will shop here again.

Not the largest selection but they serve the greatest hits for the community they serve. I would recommend this place if you're in the neighborhood and prefer not to drive very far. Other relocations have a better selection. Hence the 3/5 stars.

Yes, you have to go on the internet and fill out an application. You can call a wine and spirits or I suggest to you to call a liquor store which is under control of the state. Old school meaning - state store. Can you become an employee of the state and get paid better and are protected and have better benefits. Call a State Store or the one I know for sure that's with the state control liquor Board, it's located I believe it's 421 East Ohio Street, Pittsburgh, 15212. They will tell you the website. As long as you go through the process you'll be hard no time at all, but they do do a thorough background check because you're employed by the state.

If the store is open on Monday then yes they will be open till 5... The only holidays that they are closed is Christmas, Thanksgiving, New years, and Easter
