I have been going to Pinellas Total Care Care for 2 years now and convinced my extended family to go there as well. They are the first auto repair shop that I have fully trusted to treat me completely fairly and they clearly have competent and hard working mechanics. They have sometimes fixed minor issues for free or suggested cheaper alternative repairs. I rarely leave reviews, but this is kind of a thank you for doing such a good job so many times.

I got my car window fixed and after I was having trouble with it again. I took the car back and Juan asked if I still had the receipt. I must have had a worried look on my face because he suggested maybe it's in the glove compartment. When he called me back later he said that he couldn't find the receipt but they fixed it and I could pick it up. I was so grateful for this kind of respectful service at a car shop.

We started out fine but things changed. Juan keeps calling me "money bags" when little does he know as a black man in Pinellas Park how frustrating it is. If I didn't wear suits or dress nicely I wouldn't get hired. I once had to do 7 interviews down the block from this shop because the COO didn't like that I didn't wear a tie to one of the interviews. That fact that I saved up 6 years for my Camaro from a run down Camry, or for the fact I've been homeless before with my mother and we worked endlessly to escape Brooklyn to Tampa. I digress! I had a purge valve to be replaced with another valve = $320. $200 for labor. Took it back and a week later since the light came back on. Talked to Juan at 9am and he said "to just bring it in". I go back at 4:30pm. They haven't touched it and just removed the code. The code comes back a week later. I call to talk to Juan and he had an attitude on my issue while I stayed calm the whole time. He hands over the phone to the mechanic which was very nice. He tells me I just brought it in without an appointment which I understand but why tell me to come in the first place if you're busy. I can wait! I decided to go to a family friends shop and they did a smoke test and found out that the purge valve they installed was cheap and poorly installed. A Dorman valve when I could just get the OE (better) valve. The new guys only charged me $100 since I went through this mess for such a YouTube video easy fix which I of course watched. So I payed $320 for wrong parts for the wrong car. I hope you treat other people better and stop assuming how people are when you have no idea. Never judge a book by its cover. Have a wonderful day.

These guys are the best in the business. I would go out of my way for them to work on my car. I had a nightmare problem with my clutch and flywheel. Originally the plan was to do a flywheel swap but after realizing the clutch on my 2017 WRX was bad they were not able to get it back to me the same day, as to be expected. But they were however able to find me a good clutch and get it back to me the next day. These guys are top notch and worth every penny to get my car back very quickly. I also felt very good about the work that they did and that it was done properly. I believe it was one of the owners who did the work, came up to me when I got the car back and explained everything he did and why it was necessary. There’s no tricks, it’s very straight forward and honest. I would say pricing is on par with most other mechanics but these guys are worth every penny. I highly recommend Total Car care and I will be a regular customer.
