This is my first visit so I just want to point out that the library is very small. The children's books are on the bottom floor .The top floor ,which is ground level to the sidewalk, has adult fiction and nonfiction in separate rooms. Despite the size I would have given it more stars if they had more of a selection. I do want to point out that the librarian said that they could order anyting requested.

Nice library.but female librarian then could have been more helpful.

Great library and the staff has always been very nice and helpful. This library is 2 floors, the downstairs is children's books, there's movies as well, also computers available where you can use for up to an hour.

Great selection of books. Small but nice selection of movies to borrow. Nice older building but a little small. Not many computers to share but still a great place.

They are open to pick up books requested online, but not to go in and browse.
Put the disk in an empty dvd case. Attach a note with the movie name and your CPL card information (card #, name, address). You can then drop it off in the drop off box. Also, contact them to let them know the situation.
The Chelsea Public Library was closed on Monday 2/18 in observance of Presdient's Day; it is open our regular hours Tues-Sat. the rest of the week. Our normal operating hours during the winter are: Winter Hours: Adult Department: Monday-Thursday 9am-8pm Friday/Saturday 9am-5pm Sunday Closed
Yes, we have computers with MS Office that offer black and white printing for .10c a page, cash only.
You can visit this page to see museum pass information: https://www.chelseama.gov/public-library/pages/museum-pass-information
It is .10 cents a page, black and white only.
I believe you would need to show ID and get a Lynn public library card. Chelsea is a part of the metro Boston Library Network so it works in all of the Boston branches and Malden.
The library is open on Saturday's 9-1pm..Today it was open until 2 pm for Literacy Day..it was good, but it could have been better if there was an area for infants to enjoy the celebration.
