We absolutely LOVED our trip to Mountainaire and can't wait to come back and stay longer next time. There are so many wonderful things to say about the cabin itself, the charm, attention to every little detail, beautiful decor, amenities, I could go on and on! The piece of property the cabin sits on is also stunning. We all enjoyed hiking to the neighborhood suspension bridge and hiking up the mountain, the views were beautiful and it was so easy and convenient when we weren't all having fun at the cabin. We can't wait to go back it truly was a magical weekend get away, thank you Stephen and Mary!

We thoroughly enjoyed spending our time with our dear friends at this perfect vacation spot. Have done so on numerous occasions. Located at the base of Ice Mountain, we hiked the trails to the top of the mountain by day and sat beside a roaring bonfire by night. This fabulous log cabin home hosted over a dozen of our closest friends. It included a gourmet kitchen, a wrap around screened porch around the entire home, three fireplaces, hot tub, pool table, soaring ceilings with a rustic yet elegant atmosphere. Will definitely recommend this to anyone looking for an unforgettable experience.

We had such a wonderful time at the Mountainaire Cabin. We were two families with 6 kids. Every detail was thoughtful and top notch. We loved the screened in porch that wrapped around the entire house and the kids practically lived in the plunge pool. The hike on Ice Mountain was amazing and the view from the top was definitely worth it! We loved the large fire pit area and playing in the river was a lot of fun. It was just the right depth for the kids and dogs! Stephen was super responsive and kind and the manual was incredibly helpful (where to eat, how to work the fire pit, etc). I would highly recommend driving in to Capon Bridge to visit Farmers Daughters market and butcher. The burgers were AMAZING! We hope to come back soon.

I can not give enough compliments about how perfect this cabin/property is. We had 10+ in our group and had more then enough room for everyone to comfortably stay and enjoy. Not a single detail was over looked when setting up this home. From the proper tools to make smores or popcorn over an open flame, the full size grate to cook steaks over an open fire, or the fresh mountain scent in the bathrooms. The decor, the amenities, were only topped by the scenery. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! We had enough room to set up our own 7 hole par 3 "TPC Mountainaire", canoed/kayaked 11 miles down the Potomac River, with pick up and drop off service right at our front door, and had upscale catering from Mission BBQ delivered and ready for us when we returned from the river. The owners were in constant communication to answer any questions, provide any suggestions, and make sure we were having a great time. This is the "heaven" in "Almost Heaven, WV" Can't wait to go back!
