Finally got a chance to check The Pickled Onion in Beverly out on Sunday evening. It is very much a younger (20something) crowd and everyone seemed to know each other. Lots of big screens showing different games. Pool table and 'hoops' machine. I can't remember our server's name but she was fantastic. Friendly, quick service with a smile. I have to say I was happily surprised to see Poutine on the menu....I promptly ordered it. Poutine is IMO the perfect snack when you are drinking. Fries or tots(!) Covered in delicious beef gravy with melted cheese on top. These were some,of the best I've had. The martinis were very good too. My only issue here is that all of their seats are hard wooden barstools. Def NOT handicapped friendly, otherwise I'm happy we tried it!

Was there waiting for a friend to join me at a table and for 45 minutes not one soul that works there came up to me. I used to go there every weekend. Neither my friends or myself will go there again. Not to worry though, they have plenty of other customer's to loose.

I’m in hospitality and am disgusted with the owner Tara. She is absolutely unprofessional and has caused a problem with me almost every time I’ve gone. Reached her hand into my wallet to find my ID, claimed it was fake because I am from CT, up-charged my drink, and then kept the change as her tip. The bartenders are extremely rude about leaving tips and will tell each other to stop serving you if they are offended by the amount you leave. Very unprofessional and rude service, which is surprising for such a dumpy college dive bar. Hannah is fantastic and the karaoke is fun, otherwise the owner’s girlfriend Tara is horrendous. Too bad

Great bar! Service with a smile! Very good beer selection. Private parking lot opposite street side 200 feet up towards lights. Large bar or table seating. Bartender very helpful with beer selection.
