For whatever reason this service has been picking up our garbage instead of County Waste and we have never had a more unprofessional and inappropriate interaction with someone removing trash from our driveway. It would be wise to remind the driver that he chose this career path and if it's come to the point of him openly swearing / cursing in front of my 3 year old while doing HIS JOB because he didn't hear us come out, then he should think about doing something else. Absolutely disgusted by this entire situation. I would be genuinely embarassed as an owner if this were the way my company was being portrayed.

Since the Town of Bethlehem abruptly eliminated the cardboard recycling service on Elm Avenue, we made a trip to the Rupert Road Service Center yesterday, only to find out it’s open just three days/week for limited hours. I called Robert Wright and was told by a cheerful, friendly man that if our cardboard was too large to fit in the recycling container, we should flatten it and leave next to container and the driver would get out of truck and pick it up. That’s exactly what happened this morning. Thank you Robert Wright Disposal! We’re so glad we chose to keep our service with you! The best local business choice!! 👍

Robert Wright is one of the few small, locally owned trash businesses. They are dependable, reliable, and will go out of their way to make sure they deliver the best service possible. When I called Robert Wright, I was very pleased to get through to a real person, rather than being sent to a voicemail/automated response. Customer service goes a long way!

**Update - 8 yrs later and I still stand by my original review... In this day of large, commercial waste haulers, Robert Wright Disposal maintains a small-town focus by providing excellent service at a reasonable price. While I know there are haulers that I could save a few bucks with, Robert Wright provides the same large size container and charges a price that's only slightly higher than small container prices by large commercial firms. When I've misplaced my bill for a billing period, they simply gently remind me that I didn't pay last billing period, and penalize me... $1. Yep, one dollar. And I've never read about Robert Wright being involved in scamming Albany County landfills out of millions of dollars in fees like some other, larger commercial haulers have in this area. I like supporting a locally owned, honest operation, and in return I get good service at a very reasonable rate.
