There is nothing negative about this historic place. Many shops along the streets. The waterfront is terrific with all of the working sponge boats docked. Lots of souvenirs and other items can be found but for me, it's all about the food. There are many wonderful choices but Hella's is the place for me. Saganaki, gyros, Greek salad, spanakopita, on and on. Very busy. Excellent staff. Clean restrooms. Festive decor and music. The attached bakery is an absolute must. Just say OPA!!

This is a great little place to go to. It is not your typical tourist trap with high prices. A lot of Greek food. If you're in the Pinellas County area you have to stop by tarpon springs there's a lot of history here.

The Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks is a wonderful place to go to spend the day. A great variety of shops and eateries. Can find hand rolled cigars, incredible Greek bakeries and restaurants, novelty and souvenir shops, and sponges of all kinds. Dolphin sightseeing tours for charter as well.

Beautiful place to visit with a lot of tiny shops. The items in the shop are not overpriced either, so definitely check it out if you're looking for souvenirs. I love the view too. It is a clean great place to explore even if you live near the area. As you go down, you'll see parking spots that are around $5 for the whole day. I recommend parking there than the $10 lot at the beginning of the main strip. Some restaurants may have parking for free if you eat there, but you may want to call them and double check!

You don't have to pay for parking if you don't mind a little walking, the lot up behind Hellas and the side streets across from turtle marina, you can park for free.

There is no beach in the downtown area but the next town over has Honeymoon Island in Dunedin. One side is a dog beach and the other for people. Great beach. 5$ parking give or take a couple bucks.
