A great place to go if you don't want to drive all the way to Home Depot. Generally have everything you need, although it is quite pricey.

The Longboat Ace Hardware is located on a long barrier island with a single through road, so driving many miles to get there is a given for many customers. I'd think they'd understand this and be used to customers calling ahead to ensure what they need is in stock. I'm assuming others are like me in not liking to rely on hope that an item will be in stock when drive many miles to get it is involved. So, when I call and all I can get is a surly "probably," I'm more inclined to drive a couple of miles further to a place that is more helpful. And less expensive... the "island markup" at this Ace can be eye-watering.

Horrible service, as always, from this location. The attitude from the staff seems to be "where else can you go around here". Very sad because it is a well stocked store with lots of choices. I drive off the island to other hardware stores now.

This store has a terrific selection but, too much attitude. They refused a return on an unopened Ace branded product purchased from this store and seemed more interested in proving me wrong than taking care of a frequent customer. I had to remind them that, yes, we do have other choices. I'm heading to Amazon.
