It's beautiful. You see unique flora to the area. The river is beautiful. It's rarely crowded. The east park is my favorite for hiking. Update as of 2022. Still great. Beware of an abundance of poison ivy along the trails though.

I love all the metro parks but this one is a favorite because it’s so close to home. It’s fun to go fishing, take my daughter and her friends on little adventures and hike on the trails, have picnics there or just go there to watch the water, take a break and catch your breath. There are huge fields there as well that are great for flying kites and we fly our drones there as well. I love going to Taylorsville MetroPark because I always leave there feeling more centered, balanced and relaxed then when I came.

I love all the metro parks. This one is nice and close to home. It’s fun to fish there, take the kids on little adventures and hike on the trails, have picnics or just go there to take a break, watch the water and catch my breath from all the hectic day to day stuff. There are huge fields there as well that are great for flying kites and we practice flying our drones there….things like that. I always enjoy going to the Taylorsville MetroPark because it is very relaxing and refreshing and I always leave there feeling more balanced and centered.

Really nice trails. I would consider them moderate only slight elevation change. Some cool stuff along the trails which make it fun. Also the trails border a nice little river which our dog was a big fan of. If your going to walk the whole thing be prepared for about 5-6 miles so water and snacks are a must!
