After having a baby I was in need of a program that fit my needs, helped me recover, and especially heal my abs. I need that extra push and motivation and started personal training with Athena in December. Nearly 3 months in and I am already stronger than I was pre-baby. I’ve also been able to heal my knee pain and lost 12 pounds. Athena creates comprehensive routines that go at my pace but challenge me to push myself each week. My body is feeling great and I am so thankful to be working with her to meet my goals. SST is an amazing gym, super clean, well organized and very professional. Everyone is very welcoming and I don’t feel intimidated even though I am new to weightlifting. Something I really appreciate is how thoroughly Athena explains and demonstrates each exercise and also how to stretch and take care of your body at home.

Before I started working with Athena at Seriously Strong Training I did not think I would ever be someone who wanted to go to the gym. I was wrong. Athena listened to what I want to work on and made sure to create a program that was shaped around those goals. She’s so amazing and always gives me the push I need! I also love that I get to workout in a private environment where I can focus on what I am working towards. Everyone in the gym always brings good vibes and makes me feel at home. I would recommend SST to anyone looking to have fitness be a habit of theirs. PS they have the cutest gym dog Snooky!

SST is a great personal training gym. I’m not the type of person who is going to work out on their own - I need someone to push me. You immediately feel welcomed the moment you walk in the door. I have been working with my trainer, Lindsey, for almost a year. I can honestly say that I have a 100% greater understanding of my body, correct movements for safety and maximum results, and nutrition. Although this takes some time, in my eyes it is worth it to reach my fitness goals. Thanks to everyone at SST, especially Lindsey!!!

Seriously Strong is the best gym I’ve been to. If you’re looking for welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable trainers, this is where you want to be. As someone who had never lifted before, I was somewhat intimidated when trying to find the right gym for me, but from the first time I went to check out SS, I instantly felt comfortable. My trainer, Lindsey, is so knowledgeable and genuinely cares and gets excited about my progress. I already feel such a positive difference in my life since joining SS, and definitely would recommend to anyone looking for a personal trainer!

No. We use free weights & bodyweight training like CrossFit (CrossFit is a brand, it's not like they invented those things), and most of our training is one-on-one. Form ALWAYS comes first at Seriously Strong Training; once you have great form then you can focus on how many reps, how much weight, and how fast you can lift. If you want to do CrossFit but aren't a high level athlete, you should come to SST to learn everything you will need to know to do CrossFit safely.
Yes! The gym is kept cool in the low 70s so you can train hard without overheating in the beautiful St. Pete weather.
Yes! We have a shower available for post workouts so you can get to work after a morning session, lunch session, or out for the evening if you train at night.
Hi Amorandah! We do not have open gym memberships at this time. We are a personal training/small group training facility to ensure that our clients are performing the exercise movements correctly. Thank you for the question!
First--we love dogs. We bring Snooky (the gym dog) to SST every day, and if it was up to us the entire gym would be filled with floofs doing sploofs. BUT, Snooky is an attention hog and doesn't like sharing her space. Fortunately for you, she is always available for pets and love (she demands it).
No. Our job is to get you in shape. You will learn correct technique, safely, at your pace. Workouts are all fully customized to you, your abilities, and your goals. There is no faster way to reach your goals than training one-on-one with a personal trainer at Seriously Strong Training.
