As a long time player at TBSA, unfortunately the rink hasn’t kept up with regular upkeep nor do they listen to the players in the men’s league which makes up a lot of their revenue. It’s a shame. Amending this review: Hal, the Hockey Director at both TBSA/CIA, is unfortunately very incompetent at his job. He hides in his office instead of monitoring the beginner league games. If you bring up concerns about fair play, he just tells you to shut up or go place elsewhere. That's typical management and comments I would expect from such a derelict hockey venue.

This place is very dirty and unsanitary. The locker rooms are the worst I have ever seen. The rest rooms are on par with an outhouse. Make some money, spend some money. Not sure what's going on with this place, I'm taking my money (less) to Brandon and WC.

Kids were enrolled in hockey 101 they got bumped up to the 201 program and there is zero difference in what they’re learning from hockey 101. Hockey 101 and 201 are taught at the same time to one large group. More focus in the program is given to the adults (doing more advanced moves) even though most of the kids are better skaters.

Took our class here and they had a blast! A special thanks to the wonderful lady who helped the kids with their skates, lacing them properly, so they could skate safely! And the gentleman who helped them skate with some confidence! Great job by everyone there! Thank you all for a great time!

Yes they do have leagues
It's around 20$ for a 2 hour public session..a little cheaper if you have your own skates. Bring a light sweater as the rink can get very cold in the winter.
They have different timings for public sessions daily. You can get the schedule online on tampabayice.com for each locations.
The schedule varies greatly. They have a full schedule on their website.
Free skate is not free. There is a cost to skate. Free skate means the ice is open to the general public and they are free to skate on the ice at a designated time.
