Section 8 is transferable from state to state. You just have to check if section 8 is currently open in the state/county you want to move to. It was closed in Tampa a couple of years ago because they were relocating people from public housing. They should be back open now.

Well you should have been on the list if you signed up you need to keep up by calling them constantly and going online checking to see what's going on with the list trying to contact them with the crazy kovats thing going on is going to be hard maybe you can email Tampa Housing Authority and see if you can get somewhere like that most of the people are working from home and they don't have answers yet I'm so sorry you have to go through this it took me like forever to get back on the list and get my self as far as a 16 year old that's pregnant I hope and pray that she have a good pregnancy I was young when I had mine right now she needs to sign up and get on the list and put you on there with her because she'll be the one with the baby and make sure she get her WIC she can get that now while she's pregnant Good Luck and be blessed do like me pray to God and then let it go and find something else to occupy your mind with

In Florida is completely different, I have a two bedroom voucher in Springfield Massachusetts, I moved to Tampa Florida and they change my vouchers to one bedroom because they told me that two females can sleep in one bedroom.

Unfortunately the website is down and will not be able to make application until it has been reactivated. The only waitlist open are CBlythe Andrew's and Robles Park 3,4,5 bedrooms and the Ella and Reed at Encore 2 bedrooms.

Section 8 is closed in Hillsborough county but only open in a couple other counties right now. Best bet is to try Tampa Housing Authority. You can find their # online. Hope that helps.

You have to apply when the waitlist is open thats the first thing. As long as you are 18 and over, work or attend school, no kids or have kids you are qualified. The only thing that disqualifies a person is if they are over income. Over income varies per household family size. For example if you made 43000 per year, no kids then you are considered over income. If you make 43000 and have 4 to 6 kids, depending on their ages, and if you pay daycare/ after school care then you are not considered over income bc your allowances are deducted from your income. You have to wait on a letter. It could take years. If your living in your car, do you have somewhere your mail goes? If you moved you wanna make sure you go to the housing authority to change your mailing address. Good luck.

It could take awhile. Uf you have moved since you applied, you should have updated your address. You can check the waiting list on their website. If your information does appear they may have contacted you already.

They should of sent you a letter. Have you moved? If you moved since 2015 your suppose to change your address Everytime with housing authority. They might have sent you a letter then took you off waiting list if they have not heard back from you. I would call them.

I have absolutely no idea. I do not work for THA. I recommend you look up the website or contact them directly. However, good luck with that because half the counselors there are completely incompetent and the other half that have half a brain are probably looking for another job.
