This group is fantastic. Every physician is caring and listens to my concerns/wishes with compassion... I recently delivered my first child via c-section by Dr. Mondaca. I was a tad nervous as I had never met Dr. Mondaca prior to delivery -- I visit the Virginia Ave. office and she's at the N Tampa office. My daughter is fully healthy and my incision is healing beautifully though. Overall, I couldn't be more pleased with this group and will continue my OBGYN care for many years to come. IMO, all the physicians are knowledgable and you can't go wrong with anyone that may be on call when you deliver (even if you haven't met beforehand -- so don't worry!). Also, the billing department is very easy to work with... I highly recommend this group for your OBGYN needs :)

If you’re on the fence, let this review help you, do not go here. I have had multiple negative experiences here, but this last one was the worst. You will always be waiting a minimum of an hour for your appointment, but that’s just the beginning. Today, after waiting 2 hours, D Klobiska the NP came into the room and said “looks like you’re going to have a busy household!” - she clearly did not look at the ultrasound I just had prior, nor did she look at any of my recent labs or notes considering I came in due to a miscarriage. When we asked her questions such as what to do next, can we try and conceive again? Is there further testing to be done or any medications to take to help conceive? her response to them all was “those are out of my league I don’t know about infertility.” There was no other doctor around to come speak with us instead. It is frustrating as we have been going to this practice for a few years and it has not gotten better. I would hope they would read everyone’s reviews (2.8/5) and make a change, but that just isn’t the case. The wait time is long, the staff is rude, and now 2 of the practitioners I have personally seen have been incompetent (a different doctor previously noted in my chart that I have PCOS which I have never had). They also have stop watches outside of all of their doors which totally rubbed me the wrong way. Do better, your patients deserve it.

It’s so nice to go to a practice and really feel like you matter. I’ve never been rushed during visits and never feel like I don’t have the time to get all my questions answered. I genuinely feel well taken care of. It’s rare that physicians will actually pick up the phone and call to check on a patient personally but the fact that Dr. Peden does this just speaks volumes for the level of compassion she has. Every place will have negatives from time to time but it’s ultimately about the level of expertise and compassionate care you receive and The Woman’s Group is first class!

Despite the good reviews, I unfortunately did not have a good experience here. There was important financial information that was not given to us at our first appointments, I overheard another patient talking about it to the receptionists which prompted me to ask about it and they said they would give us the info next appointment (they didn’t). That next visit someone deleted my doctors appointment and only had me scheduled for an ultrasound (still didn’t get the financial paperwork). The front desk staff had to rush at the last minute to find a doctor that could see me and the doctor didn’t have the right info for me. She thought I was another patient and the visit lasted maybe 10 minutes. A month later I get a phone call a few days before my next visit, the employee says they’re from a different location and that someone messed up/never sent them the paperwork, never got us to sign it and that we owed $1,500. Thankfully this woman said they weren’t going to make us back pay since it wasn’t our fault, they would instead start payments at the next visit. The last appointment I had we were there for over 2 hours because of them being short staffed. I was sent out for a high risk consult and decided to get my care transferred which proved to be extremely difficult. I called the womens group 5-6 times over the course of a week, left 3 voicemails and sent a message or two through the portal. 3 weeks go by and they still didn’t contact me back, it took for me to message them saying I needed my records for personal use for them to finally contact me. I was also concerned about a payment that was already made to them & had to call more than a few times and leave a few voicemails. When they finally returned my call the woman who I spoke to tried to say she talked to me the week before, when I told her she in fact didn’t talk to me because I had been trying to contact them she changed her tune. Said it was a miscommunication and it looked like someone already closed out my account but didn’t tell me. So why would she say that SHE talked to me the week prior when she clearly didn’t. Honorable mention is a lab tech who got an attitude with me because I wanted to speak with the OB nurse, as she stated “I was only there for my lab work”. Ok so that means I can’t speak for 5 minutes with a nurse when I’m already in the building. Aside from one sweet doctor I saw and one front desk woman who was the only helpful person in the building. I wouldn’t go back here, maybe the other locations are better but know the staff does bounce around to different locations.
