Picked up a night shift here and was nothing but terrified and discusted. the staff at night was great to work with have no complaints about them at all, these poor residents live in infested place of roaches big and small. Went to four bathrooms in their rooms and they all had roaches big palmetto roaches, was so terrified since have a bug phobia that to do patient care literally grabbed a wash basin and filled it up with water at nursing station and draged it on a bed side table from room to room because there was no other way, also they get in beds it was a horror show very concerned for the residents that can't move at all very sad.

I've worked at Gateway Care Center for 2 months and I'm very pleased with the team support and display of active listening skills demonstrated by the Care staff with residents. The Administrator shows a sincere interest in employees and their solution to a problem. There is a cooperative spirit between managers and line staff that exhibits a positive attitude and demeanor despite unforeseen problems. It's a GREAT place to work!!

This is one nasty place. I am a resident here and I am here to ask you to not believe all these five stars rating that you see. If one is in need of something be prepared to fight for your rights and I mean fight. Nothing comes easy here. I missed my shower due to the water being shut off due to maintenance issues. The very next day I asked my CNA to help me with a shower, she said “No. because I have other people to shower. “. Am I not a person too? I guess its ok to go a week without a shower to them, but personally I like to be clean. No dignity or. respect!

This place is FILTHY! Each time I go in to visit my mother, I come out of there with a sore throat and a migraine. That south unit smells like a garbage truck with dead bodies. The air vents appears to have decades of mold growth. The bathrooms have NO SOAP! I went and asked a housekeeper for soap and she replied "i'm ready to go home!" WOW! I've been getting in contact with the Dept of Health on this matter. Administration should be ashamed of themselves.
