The office staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the drivers really hustle. Whenever there's been an issue, I call or email the office, and it's taken care of right away. I recently got rid of two unwieldy pieces of furniture. They just came and whisked it away, like magic!

Showed up to get rid of some household chemicals. I was there 30 seconds before 8am. The attendant bit my head off and complained about people not waiting. I was the only one in line, how and where you were meant to wait was not clear. Really taken aback by this persons attitude on what was a beautiful sunny Saturday. It’s going to be a long day for this mal content dude, was all I could think.

They wanted to charge us $75 plus $20 a month to install a lock on THEIR dumpster. Why would I pay to add locks to your assets? I can understand the extra monthly charge but an installation fee is just absurd.

They come at 6:00 am. It's just not ok. I've heard they aren't supposed to come until 7:00am out of respect for sleeping people, but that is certainly not the case here in Larkspur at Blue Rock Apartments.

Xmas and New year's day are the only changes, to one day later.
No, unfortunately MSS cannot accept any type of plastic bags, including compostable BioBags in the green compost bins. The compostable material is taken to a certified organic composting facility in Novato that is unable to accept any compostable bags.
SB 1383, the mandatory composting law officially took effect, Jan 1, 2022.
Yes
Hello! You can put natural wine corks in your green yard waste bin.
They do. For those items, you go to the hazardous waste, which is the right lane... Don't wait in the regular dump line!
Trash pickup day is Tuesday
Service has been delayed by one day since the company was closed on Christmas Day. Friday service is Saturday. It will be delayed next week as well. This information is on the website https://marinsanitaryservice.com/support/holiday-calendar/
Residential service has been moved by one day. Please see the website for details.https://marinsanitaryservice.com/support/holiday-calendar/
The best person to answer this question is your property manager. Each city has their own rules about placing carts on the curb. What city are you in?
No coat hangers can go i the curbside containers. All metal coat hangers can be dropped at the Marin Recycling Center. Remove any paper or plastic first. Plastic coat hangers are not recyclable.
You can take the cans to the Marin Household Hazardous Waste Facility in San Rafael at the end of Jacoby Street. It is closed Sunday and Monday.
You can bring the tank to Household Hazardous Waste Tuesday-Saturday 8-4. There will be no charge. If you have batteries or other HHW items, you can drop them off then too.
Definitively! We cannot accept any food packaging; however, unless it is unlined or uncoated paper. Please visit our website for more information https://marinsanitaryservice.com/residential/residential-compostables/
These can go in the landfill. IF you place them in your curbside cart, please make sure it is secure in a plastic bag so we do not mistake it for HHW and not empty the cart. If you replaced a thermostat, that would have to go to HHW. Hope this helps!
Chuck is absolutely correct. The only days we do not have service is Dec. 25 and Jan 1 if these days fall on monday-Friday.

Yeah they do.
Yes. Christmas and New Years are the only days of the year where there is no collection.
