Jacob was amazing! My wife’s mother recently passed up north and she needed a new ID. We were missing a document but he found a workaround and she got her ID on the spot. He made more work for himself to help us. Great service!

This one was of the best experiences I have had in renewing/receiving my license. In my experience I was replacing my license and also changing residencies to Florida from another state. As soon as I walked in the doors I was given the information I needed in a friendly and timely manner and waited only 10 minutes before I was called to an assistant. Jordan helped me out and was extremely helpful and even brought some well needed humor into my experience. He spoke in a very understanding and friendly way and I have nothing to say except good things about him! I was so tense coming into the office after bad experiences I've had in other offices but I would HIGHLY recommend coming here because of the staff!!

Very good experience, the girls at the front desk are very attentive, they helped me a lot to resolve a situation with my brother and understand more about the immigration processes in this county. Definitely, of all the DMVs that I have visited, this is the best without a doubt. 5 stars, very effective in solving problems.

Horrible service. Everyone has to make appointments, yet we are waiting 2 hours to register a vehicle. This person who stated she was the manager, was extremely rude, and told me this is a training facility. Fits the bill for every joke made about the DMV and the people who work there. Slow, rude, and annoyed just to be working.

If the Sheriff officer took the tag and license and i just renewed my insurance how can i get my tag and license back
At the Manatee County Tax Collector's Office, you DO need an appointment for all questions and transactions. Also, you may be able to change your address on line - visit taxcollector.com for more information.
Yes make an appointment !

Hi King! Great question. In the State of Florida, age requirements state that you are legally required to have a Driver's Learner's Permit for at least one (1) calendar year before applying for a Class E Driver's License if and only if you are under seventeen (17) years of age when applying for the Permit. If the person is in between seventeen (17) and eighteen (18) years of age and wishes to drive now, he or she must have a Driver's Learner's Permit until he or she reaches eighteen (18) years of age, in which he or she can then perform the real-life on-the-road Driver's License Class E exam at any time. Tl;Dr: Because you are eighteen (18) or older, no, you are not required to obtain a Driver's Learner's Permit in order to qualify for a Class E Driver's License. With that said, I still recommend obtaining your Learner's Permit for a short amount of time before applying for your Class E Driver's License so you can gain some experience on the road, legally. Hope this helps! Jeb E
Everyone needs an appointment
You make the appointment but will still wait like a normal walk in. The wait time is not terribly long
The regular DMV is open but by appointments only. You can go and make an appointment at the DMV itself if need be. I was just there the other day.
Yes you should be able to get it here. You don't have to make an appointment online. Might be other places where you have walk-in service but most of them are online appointments only.
Yes, make an appointment on our website www.taxcollector.com
These days do not have to be consecutive, just within the same year for you to be considered a part-time resident of Florida. Florida will allow you to use your driver's license from your home state in order to register your car. Even snowbirds from Canada can use their licenses unless directed otherwise.
Just make an appointment and get a replacement one.
You can do that online
I would go online to the website
They do have computers in the lobby and someone to help you make an appointment. That IS about the only thing you can do without an appointment, is make an appointment. You can do so online from anywhere as well.
Cortez rd or 301 & rt 70 there's 2 about the same distance
No...you can turn it in to the receptionist without an appointment
Yes
Yes. You can get an appointment thru their website
I would think, your CDL and proof of residency. Also, remember it's appointments only. You make one online.

I scheduled my appointment online.
Yes, you can get a free Florida identification with your food stamps card or food stamp print out. However, if you need a driver's license there will be a charge. The fee for an initial Florida Class E license (including learner's permit) is $48.00. Renewal is also $48.00.
They have to go and file for it
Wrong place
You should call them and ask about it. I know you will definitely have to make an appointment. Unless you go to the one across from red lobster on 41.
Do you have a Gold Star on your DL? If yes, then I believe you can. You'll need a way to verify your address too. Bill, lease, insurance info... Etc. Be sure to schedule an appointment tho. Good luck! 👍
what is needed to make an appointment for first time drivers what do need to bring
Depending on the ticket...reinstatement might be waived
If the car was previously registered in Florida and you need a duplicate it is $75.25. if the car is new, it will cost you $77.25. if the car was registered out of state and you need a duplicate title, it is $85.25.

From what I understand is the drivers license building only do licenses and you have to go across the street for your renewals! Now since you need a new license they might do both! Regardless you have to make an appointment at either building right now they're not doing walk INS And make sure you have a mask because they will turn you right around if not!!
I just paid $48.00 for mine a couple days ago!!
I'm not sure, try going online and see. Sorry I'm not more by help. Pretty sure you can.
Yes, the Manatee Driver's License Center requires appointments.
You need your SSI, 2 forms of i.d., and you county residence utility bill.
Yes you can
When you say duplicate license is the old one In your possession? If you can show it to the person at the tax collector office all you need is $25
Around $25 to get a new driver's license or i.d with the new address
They are also asking for the birth certificate in addition to three bills and your social
Nope, they take it there to keep it all official. So best be ready to take a photo there for a new license or ID.
No, but I'd recommend it unless you got an afternoon to kill.
I thino so
For a minor or adult?
Thanks. I did find the appointment place online. But dont they have to take a drug and alcohol course and some other course too? And where do they get the book to study for the written test?
Not exactly a transfer of registration, in Florida your tag is essentially your registration so you will pay the fee to register here and rece6a plate. Your title is what transfers and is made I to a Florida title. No inspection in Florida however. Aslo if you are a new resident, you will pay an additional one time fee.
Okay so I'm 17 and I have my permit would that mean I only need a driving test to get the intermediate license.
They so but I don't think they would just give it out over the phone. I was there once and asked for it so my insurance agent could fax paperwork.
He is actually going need the original SSI card
Proof of residency like a couple bills you get in the mail, birth certificate and you should be good. Check their website too @ manatee tax collector
You may wanna call them but for sure you gotta have your ID
You can be reissued the tag so no excessive charge but the dealer will charge whatever they want, it's up to you to negotiate with them.
You'll need to go into the office and fill out paperwork also need to bring some other ID or proof of residency. Look on their website for more info.
No you just need to go to office and proof your residence
You have to go into the diver license office with proof of new address and they issue you a new card. Look online for required documents, usually one or two are required. I believe a current utility bill and or bank statement mailed to the new address. As far as fines, none I am aware of but you want your ID and car insurance cards etc. to all jive in the event of an accident or getting stopped for a violation.
Visit our website taxcollector.com to find out information about transferring your driver license http://taxcollector.com/contactapp/viewcategory.cfm?category=4#xy
