My husband is a physician with a specialty in geriatric medicine, and I am a biomedical engineer. We take our responsibility to our frail and ill loved ones and our patients very seriously. I am Power of Attorney for an 87 year old relative in Torrance who is very sick and needs blood and iron infusions. My relative has been a client with 24/7 Home care for more than 5 months. My relative needs frequent trips to the clinic to have iron transfusions. 24Hr Health Care arranged to have a caregiver pick her up and take her to a transfusion. The caregiver did not show up because the agency gave her the wrong pick up time. This is what the caregiver told me! They also did not give her the doctor's address in advance so the caregiver called me to get the information. This confusion forced me to call the doctors office, speak with the caregiver and call the agency multiple times to insure that everyone was on the same page, and insure that my relative could still have her transfusion. This agency is very unreliable and unprofessional. When I called to complain, the staff blamed the caregiver for not checking her email. This is the excuse I received when their caregivers show up late, or don't know their destinations. What agency shifts the blame? After all, isn't it the agency who is selecting and screening their caregivers? I really do not think 24 Hr Home Care and employees take their jobs seriously. It's almost easier to do it yourself, if you have the time. Unfortunately I do not have the time. I work full time. The good news is I have found another more reliable agency. I am now using an agency called Comfort Keepers based out of Irvine. They were recommended by my relative's assisted living facility. They always show up and they are always on time. Yelp keeps deleting my review because the owners of 24Hr Home Care complain about my one star review. Can you believe that? I think that is despicable considering the nature of their business. The issue is when an elderly person on a fixed income is paying $30 per hour for a critical service, these agencies need to perform. With 24Hr. Home Care, it is hit and miss.

We had an urgent need to have a caregiver within 5 hours and Jesse and the 24Hr Care Team came through! The caregivers that were provided were very well trained to handle Alzheimer's and difficult situations that really provided comfort to me and my mom while my dad was sick. They were very trustworthy and I felt they were my eyes and ears when I could not be there. Also, they provided the same caregivers as much as possible which made my mom feel like she know what was going to happen!! I am so very thankful and would recommend the Torrance Team Always!!!
