I don't know why the government continues to fund places like this if they are allowed to DISCRIMINATE who they provide services for. FYI parents, this place is on most primary doctors resources as a place you can get help for your child, but they do not work with non verbal autistic teens, even if the teen is attacking a two year old sister. They need to stop giving this as a resource. When you call they will refer you to another useless resource, The Regional Center, which continues to collect funding from the government, but offers no support or services, or even assign case worker. The crisis teams that are supposed to help ( the Pep Team) won't even call or show up when you call and file a report to receive an evaluation for your child. The mental health system is a joke and laws need to be set in place so these type of facilities have to help everyone that needs help regardless of there disability. The government needs to stop funding places like this so there will be more funding available for places that don't discriminate against people with certain disabilities.

What an incredibly rude staff you have there. I would not recommend anyone to come here. You should probably study your hiring habits before performing services on anyone else.

My sister didn’t take her medication for a couple days and was having a mental episode. We tried to take her here(have taken here here in the past for this issue) and they wouldn’t allow her in because she was asked covid questions. She’s fully vaccinated btw but why would they ask her questions in an obvious mental unstable state thinking they would get a proper answer? Very idiotic of the staff to think that someone having a mental episode would be in the right state of mind. Turning away someone having an issue is truly terrible of your staff.

I went here yesterday because I needed mood stabilizers. They checked me in just to tell me that I needed a drs note. (Currently pregnant) got the drs notes. Went back today re filled out all the paperwork. Sat on the lobby for 20 minutes just so that the front office clerk could walk up to me just to tell me that the psychiatrist didn’t feel comfortable giving me anything because I’m currently 10 weeks pregnant. So much back and fourth. They did offer a therapist but that’s not what I needed. I’m a very a understanding person but also don’t waste my time. So if you’re pregnant and need mental health medication DO NOT COME HERE!!!! As they can’t help you 👎🏼

Hi Debra, That is great that you want to help your friend. She could come into our center where she would be able to talk with a counselor and get some help. It is free of charge. We're at 3210 Long Beach Blvd., so that isn't too far from the 710 freeway, depending on where she is living.
It is not a stay-in facility, and it does not provide domestic violence classes. The Behavioral Health Urgent Care Center offers 24/7 urgent mental health services for someone needing crisis services. The stay is less than 24 hours.
