This has got to be the worst trucking company I've ever worked for, they force team operations and if you do become a trainer all miles are split with Covenant and if your training solo they do give you a $400 bonus but then your taxed at 48% so in reality they give you $200 and then your lucky to push a student 2000 miles their first 40 and if your not a trainer you better hope you get a good teammate if not your going to spend allot of time waiting for free to get their trailers fixed they pay nothing also if you don't request to be paid for moving Mt trailers they won't pay you. They literally starved me for 7 months and don't get hurt on the job they leave you hanging then as well. So stay clear of this company.

I won't speak on the company themselves as I still drive for them. However the Pamona terminal is in dire need of an upgrade. Laundry facilities are ok at best but multiple washers are down and have been for at least the past 2 months. The showers are filthy at times and never seem to be cleaned routinely and thoroughly. The TV room is spacious and comfortable though. Microwaves available but the vending machines steal money as if they are programmed to do so. Security is pretty chill, and they let me in and out as I please. If you're looking for food there is usually a taco truck on the corner in front of the convenient store. If not there is a place within walking distance called "El Cabrito" that has some of the best birria meat I've ever had and the prices are fair. Located right next to Cabrito is a donut shop that makes amazing smoothies)I'd suggest the mango). In comparison to the Chattanooga terminal this one is a red headed stepchild that needs a facelift badly or it just needs to be torn down 🤷🏿‍♂️

The Security Guards for this company in Pomona, CA sucks, unkempt, unprofessional and don’t know their jobs. I don’t know if they have their own in-house security or contracted other firm but either way it needs to change and improve else I will recommend not to do business with Covenant Transportation.

This terminal is an absolute joke. I have never felt so embarrassed by the lack of professionalism of others in my entire life. The office staff members are rude, impatient, and condescending. The little guy they have driving the van in the morning to pick you up from hotel Is the same guy to do your "road test" ... When the guy can't even drive a regular van himself.. dude was rude, cutting people off, and speeding all while with 6 other passengers in the back. The terminal manager can't even give you eye contact, had no people skills. The only exception I could give is the main lady that runs orientation was friendly and professional...her counterpart (Sara? I think?) was not at all. Expected us to do her job and verify all of our employment when told "I couldn't verify more than a month of experience for you...so you need to call them"...when I have 6 years verifiable experience with paystubs to show. I knew she was just being rude and lazy. Look if you are that unhappy with yourself... And your job ....go get healthy..and go somewhere else to work. Called her boss...he seemed to not take it seriously.. if this is the way you guys allow your employees to act... You wonder why turnover rate is so high? Don't waste your time with this company. There are plenty of other good companies to gain experience. This terminal isn't going to last long I promise. They prey off of recent CDL grads who need experience so they can get you for cheap labor. Dispatch is a whole other beauty! They act as if you kiss their boots and must bow to them. Extremely condescending..your personal hometime or needs is of no interest to them. Maybe other terminals are decent..I can't say. I would highly recommend you guys don't send new hires to Pomona location. They are a horrible introduction to the company.
