Best car selling experience I have ever had in my 70 years of buying and selling cars usually at a dealership. The group of people they have at CarMax will easily match or exceed the service and experience you could get else ware. What a bunch of happy, smiling, efficient, professional, helpful employees they have here. If you want to sell them your car, do yourself a favor. Go online and fill all of the details relative to the vehicle and you immediately get a written offer to purchase. When you enter the dealership, you simply plug in the offer code at the front desk, take a seat and someone will come to help you ASAP. I happen to take a friend of mine along who had retired after 31 years from a company with 75 new car dealerships. He's pretty experienced and knowledgeable about buying and selling cars. He was blown away at how this dealership operates, incredible how smooth and efficient they are. No trying to lower the offer at all. None. They gave me exactly what the written offer stated. What a great and profitable experience. They handed me a check and we drove off. Selling a car? do it here and get the best price with the warmest, friendliest and helpful us service. Fast and honest. Incidentally, they gave me $2000 more than the Toyota Dealership offered me.

Bought a car about 3 months ago was decided to post the a month after we found out carmax does NOT change the oil, air filter, or cabin air filter on their cars!!! We drove the car around for 2 months put about 1500 miles on the car and the air filter was trash! Oil was pitch black!!! Checkout pics, be sure to check this stuff immediately after you buy the car so you can go back to carmax and return it. Never would have thought because they keep their cars on the lots for so dang long before selling them. Thought it was cause they were performing maintenance nah it’s borderline fraud. No 125 point inspections here.

I bought a Really nice jeep rubicon from them two months ago but after two weeks it started sputtering and the engine light came on. I took it back and they fixed it then it happened again two weeks later after testing and inspection it ended up having a small head gasket leak. They offered to fix it or buy it back They not only bought it back but paid me every penny I put into it and a lil more for the confusion. It wasn’t their fault The Jeep only had 40k miles on it who would think..? The problem was the dishonest person that fixed it long enough to trade it in and get top dollar. CarMax stands by their word and I will always work with them. Expect a 4 hr wait most dealerships take way longer with less turn over. Carmax deals in high volume 😁

I think car max was a easy process for me. I got rear end so i was in search of a new used car that I could rely on to get me back and forth to work and doctors appointments. I'm truly grateful for CarMax. I know this day and age with the option to shop online but also to be able to go in and see it in person is a plus for me. I love CarMax and it was something I could trust. without all the sales pressure that comes along with car shopping.

If the registration is paid, then no. Depending on the car, registration could even have been expired as long as the fees weren't too high, so long as it's a car that CarMax wouldn't consider selling on their lot. Only about one in three or four cars they evaluate on appraisal is one they can sell, but they will buy ANY car, even if they are brought in on a tow truck with a smashed front end! And, they always give best the value possible. Even Tesla tells people to take their "trade in" cars to CarMax! Think of your car like a patient being checked by the doctor. There's a certain expectation of condition you'd expect from a car, depending on age and miles. A one year old car has different expectations than a fifteen year old car!
Car Max rarely has anything for less than 10k
I got the service plan with each of the cars I've bought. The service contract lists what's not covered, which are the wear and tear things you need to maintain anyway, so things like tires, oil changes and brake pads aren't covered, because they're "wear and tear". But my wheel cylinders for the brakes were covered! When the starter went out on my first car, they had to order the part from the manufacturer, which took five days. So I was put into a rental car, and at the end, I only paid my deductible, which was $50 less because I took it to CarMax instead of Ford, so I only paid $250.
Doesn’t matter actually. I’m fighting them right now for something that is in writing that says they cover this issue and they tell me here they can’t cover it. Seriously go somewhere else. Don’t want you to waste your time and money.
Most come from people selling their cars to CarMax or trading them in for a different car, like I did.
Yes
Go to the website you can look for the can you want.
Yep! She should have sold it to you for an easier transition for sale! Because CarMax may require more than a power of attorney! Call their customer service representative!! Good luck!
It takes more time to ask that then to just go to their website.
They will help you. They helped me.
Sorry, I do not work there. I will never ever go to Carmax for anything.
