First time here, decided I wanted to come here as a treat after surgery (you know how you can't eat before a surgery after usually like midnight the night before) I had seen this place on the map while just looking at the route I had to take to get to a plant sale I went to a few days earlier, looked it up and it seemed to have good reviews and the pictures of the food along with the reviews looked really good 😍. So we came here and it was surprisingly empty, the waitress said it was weird they're normally super busy around that time- we were the only people there- but she made jokes about it and she was super nice and helpful and since we were the only ones there at the time she just sat with us, didn't walk away, waited until we were ready, answered any questions we had. I was so hungry and the food looked so good that I forgot to take any pictures before I started eating, but I can assure you it doesn't even matter how good it looked, it was delicious. I had a 2 chile relleno plate, my dad I think had two tacos. Our friend had one taco. All plates came with rice and beans. Now, I'm not normally a bean person. At restaurants, I'll usually try the beans but more often than not I'll just eat my rice and leave most of the beans. El Farolito has the best refried beans I have ever had. I don't even like when my dad makes beans (Don't tell him) but I could literally just order a plate of rice and beans and some chips and be happy, that's how good they are. In addition to the good food, they have a self serve salsa station, so they have their salsas there as well as cilantro, diced onion, and lime, which is really nice to not have to ask for at a sit down Mexican restaurant, that way you can choose which salsas you want and what and how much garnishings you need etc. More people came into the restaurant as we ate, so maybe we were just a bit early to the lunch rush, who knows 😉? Either way, I definitely reccomend. If you've eaten at Mexicasa before, they're definitely more pricey than they are but the food reminds me of their menu. RIP Mexicasa, shuttered by covid, yet to return.... eat at El Farolito Jr. to fill the void! Makes a great comfort food option too 😋

Food was plain and pozole very salty tortillas were hard textured. Maybe that wasnt their best day or primary cook wasnt there but any ways will try and go back and see if it changes

Every time we come here food is always on hit. Delicious, hot Mexican cuisine! Grandma and kids love their well seasoned mojarras. My husband enjoys his enchiladas with creamy, flavorful sauce. My older two love getting different kinds of burritos. The staff are always friendly and ready to serve. Always up kept and clean. The only thing I would like back is the outside seating but otherwise a great place for a good meal.

I don't speak Spanish, all I see is respect to the community. Maybe there was a joke told. Keep an open mind
The very greasy studs are no longer good and they don't serve well and they don't cover the hair
