Good burgers, and I appreciate that they ask me how I want it cooked, but they always seem to come out well done. Still, they are good. I tried The Whale tonight (pictured) and it was very good, too. I also liked the fries, they are excellent with malted vinegar, but very small pieces. Just a bit odd.

Great food and atmosphere. Worth the drive up the winding road. The golf course looks great too.

Terrible! Seated then waited 20 minutes before I flagging someone down. Finally got a waitress and placed our order a salad and a steak medium rare . After way to long everything hit the table at once and of course the steak was well done and tough as leather. Asked for some a1 to drown the terrible steak in and to no surprise the bottle was empty. The only and I mean only good thing about BlackDog was my date. She was lovely as usual and great company. Do not go to this overpriced hack of a restaurant.

Met a friend here for lunch. Our server, Jami, was super friendly, attentive, and patient with us as my friend and I spent a lot of time catching up. The food was delicious. I had the Chicken Delmonico and my friend created her own burger. The views of the golf course are amazing, even when there is snow on the ground. The inside of the lodge/restaurant is so cozy and beautiful. We sat by the fireplace and enjoyed the ambiance. Highly recommend.
