Professional, clean & quality products. My disappointment was the lack of “Curly/Kinky/Coily” hair knowledge. When I called to schedule the color appointment, I specifically asked for a stylist that can style curly hair. My stylist was Erika, she was kind & definitely did her best but lacked experience with textured hair. I declined a blow-out as she mentioned in the beginning of the appointment that she wasn’t sure how straight she can get it, I replied that it’s okay she can style my curls. Later, she didn’t know what to use, she politely asked me if gel, cream or mousse would work & I responded with what would help but as a client, expected to have the stylist provide their expert opinion. After the wash, she’s going through my hair with the wrong comb to detangle not using water to refresh the curls so by the time she was done cutting, hair was puffy & dry. Also, I wanted to cry but could not muster up making her more uncomfortable than she seemed but she proceeded to flat iron my front hair to show me the highlights - WITHOUT heat protectant..all I heard was my hair sizzle as she passed the flat iron on a semi wet curl 😫 big no no! At checkout, I was ready to pay & the receptionist assumed I was there for a hair appt 🥴 sooo my hair didn’t even look styled to a stranger…gee thanks 😕 Owner seems like a cool guy but please educate your stylists on the many different hair types & if the stylist isn’t comfortable styling curls - please let the client know. I would certainly return if they learn from their mistakes. It would be a shame to lose future clients over hair texture.
