I went to CHP in order to have my car seat inspected. Officer Hoover was timely, courteous, and professional. I felt fortunate for officer Hoovers information and time and much more confident regarding my daughters safety.

I got stuck behind a stalled car on the 101 North just after leaving the 405 North. I called 911 thinking there were two cars involved, but there was only one dark SUV. There was no way for me to change lanes because the cars were too close together and moving too fast. The CHP Officer was there in under 2 minutes, immediately taking command of the traffic and attempting very quickly to get the SUV started. This was on 3/15/2018 at around 10:20-10:25 PM. He requested that I back up while he pulled his car in front of mine to shield the SUV and told me that after I backed up, I could leave. I do not know the name of the CHP Officer, as he was all business and there was no time for chit chat. The first thing I wanted to do when I got home was to thank the officer, but the office was closed, so I wrote this 5 star review both here and at the CHP website, Thank you sir.

I respect what they do and what they accomplish, I personally wish they would HIRE people who are professional and reasonable/logical about what they do. They wanted to arrest me for a misdemeanor as I was helping at a traffic incident where people were hurt. I was approached by a CHP officer who then yelled at me for helping as i was being a good Samaritan, as i could have just kept driving along like everyone else. The unprofessional officer approached me and asked for my license and i was very compliant while he was yelling at me. He was going to arrest me for approaching officers from the shoulder while they were securing the scene at a high rate of speed, WHEN I was only going at most 15 MPH and was the FIRST ONE THERE. CHP didn't show up until minutes after i did. He didn't arrest me as i blasted him back for helping. I told him if it was him in the car and your kid was in the passenger seat and seriously injured and you were trapped, you would want anyone to help. Then he was outraged by this comment and dropped my license and told me to leave. so i did. I loved how his partner yelled at him for doing this as it was unnecessary. I still respect cops and all and I understand people get mad they get arrested for doing or having something illegal, but when its something like this, then they look like pigs.
