Tall trees, breezy views, long trails, and fragments of cheap plastic sleds littered abound. What solace could prior be found in this part of Southern California has been sullied by those choosing to not only convert all available housing into AirBnB/STRs but are directly responsible for the current unaffordable housing in this area. The properties have not grown nicer or been improved but only dropped substantially in quality. The owners and managers of these properties rarely keep up with their tenants and allow parties until all hours of the night followed by trash strewn across the road the next day. The county will not hold them accountable but only hand out repeated and unenforced warnings that mean little to nothing. The county does not fine any for violations of vandalism, noise disturbances, illegal parking, trespass, excessive speeding, tailgating, or aggressive driving. CHP is a joke in this area, drive as fast or haphazardly as you want. They themselves speed excessively down narrow roads and drive often without headlights on in the fog or at ,what is considered by penal code, night. The area also has many issues regarding drainage of hazardous waste by private citizens and businesses into local aquifers which damage our water sources and go into our drinking water supply. The local government in this area is in gross need of overhaul.
