Beautiful park in the greatest neighborhood in LA county. I'm so grateful to be able to live in this beautiful part of the Harbor Area. Only drawback is the amateur photographers blocking the bridge pretty much all day every day so they can conduct business with no permits. Most see you coming and don't even have the decency to pause to let you pass. I'm going to start walking directly through your shot like you don't exist. I'm tired of it. Walking all the way around so people can take photos without having to pay for a location. Always the same people too. Still 5 stars though. Best sunsets on Earth less than minutes away also if you know where to go. I see dolphins 60% of the time. Even saw a mega pod last August. It was wild. Thousands of dolphins at once!

What a hidden gem. This is such a beautiful place to relax. It is a five-sided park buried in a residential area with a beautiful duck pond hidden in the middle. I will bet you in advance, if you go down there on the weekend you will see a wedding or a quinceanera photo shoot.

My wife and I found this park while exploring LA. What a gem! Rolling hills, a stream and a pond. This park was teeming with activities: yoga, dog training, a guy flying an RC helicopter...amazing! Nice to talk with some of the local residents. If you're in the neighborhood, do enjoy this park!

Wonderful park. It has everything - waterfalls, a stream, a pond, a bridge, a rose garden with a gazebo and ducks. Pretty. Only downside of it is that because it is so pretty that many people come here and want to take photos. So, it gets quite crowded. I mean, literally there was a traffic jam on the bridge when I was there. It is quite spacious and has a lot of tall, large trees. Plenty of shade. It is a perfect place to cool down on a hot day. Or night.

Alondra Park is an adequate setting for just about any occasion, but I would suggest you and your family check out Averill Park in San Pedro. https://www.lapark.org/park/averill
You can take pictures there and often see it on Saturday afternoons. However if you want a particular area all to yourself you would need a permit.
I don't think there are yoga classes it's more of a family and friends park
The office is on pv drive up from 5 points.
There are paved paths that run throughout the park, so the whole thing should be accessible. However, as mentioned above, there are some steep hills that may present a challenge.
Call the city
I would guess about half a mile in trails. Some are pretty steep hills.
No. If you're looking for bike trails you need to go up to Gaffey and Paseo Del Mar. The southernmost tip of the city of Los Angeles. They have very well designated bike path that you could take all the way around Cabrillo Beach through 22nd Street Park past the crafted warehouses and cafes and restaurants all the way down to the dancing waters fountain on Harbor Boulevard where the cruise ships come in. It is all downhill if you start at Paseo Del Mar at Point Fermin Park
There is no permit . People take pictures there all the time. For weddings quinceñeras.
No need . Unless you want no interruptions and reserved. Any for profit shoot needs a permit but a lot of people don't get one.
I live a couple of blocks from there. Recently, people have been saying there's someone who's there on random weekends to enforce and check permits but I have never seen it for myself. That doesn't mean they're not checking randomly. There's no on-site office for Recs & Parks officials to watch 24/7. But they know this popular spot on weekends are a prime time for celebrating Weddings, Quinceañeras, Birthdays, etc..there. I've even heard mid-size groups BBQing have been asked for permits recently even when they brought their own barbecue and removed their trash. Parks & Rec never use to enforce the rules of permits there in past decades.
Lord Nougat, there are many turtles, ducks and squirrels as well... Lots of birds fly by too.
