We stopped by The Grill for an impromptu late afternoon snack after being unable to find parking at the nearby beach. Our 17 month old was tired, grumpy, and in need of food and fresh air. The Grill provided a great experience all around! You enter via the hotel; even though we weren't hotel guests, we were greeted warmly by the staff, and directed towards The Grill, which is a short walk through the beautiful hotel grounds (there are stairs, which weren't a problem for us as we didn't have our stroller with us, but wheelchair users would do well to call ahead to determine access options.) The staff at The Grill were no less welcoming than the hotel front desk staff, seating us quickly and without fuss; they provided a high chair for the small one, and *thoroughly* cleaned it beforehand which we sincerely appreciated. Service was quick and attentive without being overbearing, and the staff were jovial toward the baby - he is very cute though, so I can't blame them. We ate lightly - chicken wings and dessert for mom and dad, a grilled cheese for the baby. The grilled cheese was as plain as you'd expect food prepared for a baby - if your kids have a more refined palate, consider the main menu. The chicken wings were crisp on the outside, succulent on the inside, with excellent flavor; the accompanying dip (I believe a sriracha-blue cheese affair) complemented them nicely. Dessert consisted of a baked cheesecake accompanied by fresh fruit, and a magnificent chocolatey trifle-adjacent concoction. Both were delicious and hit the spot perfectly - generous but not excessive portions. We live locally, and so have little reason to stay in the hotel, but if the food and service at The Grill is representative of the wider experience, we may need to find a reason to stay there soon.

What a special place. Right along the famed Torrey Pines Golf Course with its superlative views of the ocean and Torrey Pines State Reserve. We enjoyed the tri tip offering and the Ruben sandwich. The Ruben was incredible. Not obscenely stacked as in NYC but perfect! A pickle side would have been nice. But,. Hey this is not NYC!

Went here for a business dinner while staying at the nearby Hilton. Is a slightly long and winding round about way to get to it as you have to access from the hotel, cut through to the back and all of the way around past the pool (I think it's to control foot traffic on the course) Beautiful views, food was okay, nothing to write home about but serviceable. Try to sit outside as the view is beautiful!

I love good service, with a view. This is the kind of place that you go for a leisurely lunch. You cannot be in a rush if you want to pop by The Grill. However, this is exactly the place to have a relaxing experience with great service and tasty food. I will say that the roasted chicken sandwich was pretty one note, and a little dry...but the onion dip with house made chips, the asparagus quiche and side salad were all delicious! The grounds of the property are beautiful! The staff is friendly and efficient, and the valet is free. The valet is so lovely and friendly though, which meant an appropriate tip! All in all, a great experience!
