I’ve been a member of corepower on and off the last 8 years. Mostly in NorCal. This is the most well run location I’ve been too. Availability of classes and quality of teachers is top notch. Jill C, Marina se, Lisa, Aly are all great teachers with a solid grasp of yoga (as are several more). The Hotpower Fusion is not my thing and reminds me of 90’s bikram(🤢, but it just goes to show they offer something for everyone.

Details: Mid-day/ mid-week, HPF class, Huntington Beach, CA, led by Aly. Context: I consult businesses on customer experience, sales, client management. CX: Great experience during my visit. BOOKING: Booked class on my phone via Chrome browser, not app. FIRST CONTACT: Greeted by the instructor when I entered and told me about the class/ studio. LOBBY: Spacious, clean, lots of natural sunlight. CLASS: Room, floor, mirrors, props were clean. AMBIANCE: Lighting was too bright for my taste. Possibly no dimmer control. INSTRUCTOR: Aly was confident, demonstrated command, knew her sequence, perfect balance of remaining stationary, floating the room, and demo'ing. Aly was 10/10. MEN'S RESTROOM: The only weakness of the experience. Paper towels/ tissues on the floor, random unplugged fan could have been put away if not in use. Seemed unattended. Easy fix. POST CLASS: As I walked out, the instructor and incoming teacher for next class thanked and checked in. OVERALL: I would come back.

Be careful. My fiancee signed up for a package here a few years ago. We've never even lived in Orange County, and I have to call Chase every few months because even after we've canceled multiple times over multiple years now (and reported the transactions to Chase), this business continues to revive charging us again every few months. With how long it's been happening and the volume of conversations we've had I can't think it's anything other than deliberate which is scary. If it's happening to us it's got to be happening to other people, and that's just criminal.

Its either $25 or $27... you can sign up for 1 free week!

Are you able to borrow a yoga mat for class, for free?

Katrina Chavez | Aug 27, 2019
Erin Temple | Aug 27, 2019

Nope! You can not "borrow one". You must pay $4.00 to use a mat and towel! They must be really hurting for money? For the amount they charge, you'd think there would be a stack of mats in every class. Shameful.
