Seriously? This place is a scam! They charge you 45 bucks a night for what? Showers- no lights! To have a shower be ready to spend your hard earned and let me tell you - quarters only and it is 4 bucks or so for 2 mins! What is wrong with you people???!! Restroom - no lights! And lucky you are they don’t charge you for the flush or toilet paper. Besides that, the garbage is everywhere. I prefer to stay out of the truck stops and rest areas whenever it is possible when I travel, and this time I was too tired to look for an overnight. Little I knew…. I have better kept driving. This is a huge disappointment and a shame for that place. Stay away!

Great hidden gem. I never heard of the Silverwood before camping here this week. Clean and quiet campsites. Plenty of space and trees between your neighbors. $45 a night for full hookups E/W/S is a great deal. The lake was warm and refreshing with the hot temps during the day. It does cools down nicely at night. Great walking trails all around the lake. Be prepared for flies and heat during the summer. Overall a really enjoyable time.

One of the nicer local campsites. The people at the gate this time around were infinitely more customer oriented. They have rules and they abide by them. There’s nothing more I could ask for. (Last time, they gave the spot I reserved to someone else) (At the San Onofre location, they did the same thing as well)... This time, however, they kept my spot for me and they were very helpful helping me find a spot for my friend that was on his way. **Tip** even if you don’t need hookups, for $10 more a night, you get a quieter campsite location, better class of people, and toilet seats in the bathrooms!

The Lake for swimming gets crowded at about 11:00 p.m. That's when the "day use" people come typically. But if you're camping there (camp sites) you can walk or drive to the lake relatively early before they start showing up and set up at the Lake. I recommend parking at lot 1 it's closer to the lake. Booking campsites might be a little hard because they sell out fast though. Always try to book at least 3 weeks in advance. Hope the info helps. 😄
Yes you can
Yes but they must be on a leash or under control at all times
We had Old Mesa Campsite #8. Parked a Yukon and a 25' Pontoon with no problem. Across from showers and bathroom no foot traffic. However, campsite kinda slopey.
There is a playground near the marina and swim beach, but not in the campground itself.
no all you need to do is get up little early and get there because I bet you're going to go one of those beautiful days for your family
Yup
Yes
Oh ok thank you .. I have try to do reservations but it’s takes me back and forth to different websites…. Any website suggestions?
Yes
Definitely need reservations. They’re booked out pretty far
There is but they make their rounds
They are strict but it takes alot for the park to fill up
Yes, you're allowed to swim in the lake. I don't believe there is a limit to how many people you can bring for a day, but for camping there is a limit depending on the site. I believe it is $8 for a day pass.
Unfortunately dogs are only allowed in the parking area and campgrounds. They’re not allowed in the lake.
Yes you can
Not carnalito but if you like you can take your tent in that aspect there is no quarrel !!!!!!
I think so. Since the spot has its own parking
Call silverlake
You have to make reservation. They don't take walk ins. Have you tried to make the reservation on line? That was easier for us than calling.
A lake.
My kids swim all at the swimming area all the time. Late afternoon no floties. Wind picks up and blows children to middle of the lake.lol
And
Take quarters about $2-3 for a quick shower. The more quarter's the more min you get.
How much for 1 night tent camping?
They have full hook ups places or they have w/o power
Yes
Depends if you rent a dinghy or a pontoon boat! Give them a call. They're happy to assist!
You need to reserve your spot ahead of time. And there's information on the website and you can also reserve through the website or over the phone
Go to their website, parks.ca.gov/silverwoodlake. They have tons of information on the park there.
Yes. There is swimming sections.
I would recommend it, especially during the summer
