This place is beautiful and they put a lot of money into the dog park. I just wish there were more dogs here. Everytime I come the dog area is always empty.

Great place to take your dog. They have separate sections for small dogs and large dogs. People generally have well behaved dogs and make sure that they are playing appropriately with each other. The entryway to the park is locked by city officials at 6pm in the winter and 7pm in the spring/summer. Make sure that your car is parked outside by that time because they will lock your car in. If you do get locked in, you would have to cal the police non emergency line to let you out.

Although the choices for dog parks in this area are far and few in between, this is by far my favorite. Both the small and big dog sections are a good size. The big dog side is right next to the parking lot in the back next to the freeway and the small dog part is tucked away in the back next to the reservoir. The small dog size has more large trees which give more shade but the large dog side has a couple small spots. For the most part, people and their dogs here are mannered. Of course there are the rowdy pets or owners that don’t watch their dogs or pick up their poop but it happens. Another plus, there is ample parking! The park itself has a lot to offer. Tracks where people walk and jog. A basketball court. Jungle gym. Very nice! Thank you El Monte!

Cool dog park, people here are more chill with pets ! Brought my Bby German shepherd for its first time and he was nervous and people here were nice to let their dogs greet my puppy i will be back for sure
