I cannot tell a lie: I've never been here but I've been informed someone I want to know that used to work where I work moved here. She brightens up bad days! That someone is named Donna, but they call her Peanut. I miss her like the deserts miss the rain. I also dedicate to her "I Want To Know You" by Howard Hewett. I once dedicated to her "I Hate Myself For Lovin You" by Joan Jett, and Peanut said "Don't hate yourself!" I'd sell my plasma to see her again. Absolutely HORRIBLE place to work at!!!!! They worked me like a slave & did NOT give me minimum wage!!!!!! They only gave me well five cents per item that I finished. The administrator illegally had her daughter working as an internship and she's only 16 and by their own rules you have to be 18 or over to be in that place I gave the girl a hug she freaked out because I'm autistic and they fired me and that's the best thing that could've happened because now I'm in a much better Day Program that DOES pay minimum wage. I would not recommend new horizons to anybody ever on top of the bad horrible working conditions they are slave drivers and they yell and scream at people I am so glad happy and more peaceful since I have left a horrible horrible horrible place I cannot believe they are still open for business they should be shut down how does the administrator explain having her underage daughter there working at internship when you have to be over 18 years old so apparently they make their own rules and bend them to fit their needs or wants if anybody has their loved one at new horizons they should take them out and find a better day program because the new horizons in North Hills California is very Bad for someone's mental growth that has a disability they don't try to help people with disabilities they help themselves by paying slave wages and making their own profit
