Incredibly disappointing the city won''t maintain this historic pool. Closed for two years now. You would think they'd fix it up before scheduling a "grand reopening," only to shut it down again and disappoint the community.

Dirty, considering that it just opened for the summer a couple weeks ago. Found old scrunchies that looked like they've been sitting in the overflow area for over a year. Large paint chips in that overflow section. Also, a used rolled up bandaid that must've came off a patron as they were enjoying themselves in the pool. Gross!! Also, why are they rushing everybody out the pool when it's 5 minutes til the posted closing time? And then one of their employees seems to be keeping the pool to himself and his guests? What's up with that? To make things worst, the ladies that work there were rushing the ladies out of the ladies showers - this right after they just kicked people out of the swimming pool. These people are unbelievable

If I could give negative stars, I would. The management and staff discriminate against certain races. I was there two days ago and there were people in shorts and t-shirts swimming in the pool. There was also a woman in a head to toe burka in the pool. Today I went with my family and I was asked to leave the deck because I wasn't wearing a bathing suit bottom. I was wearing capris and a swim coverup because I have a knee injury and need to wear a brace. I pointed out that there were many people in the pool not wearing a bathing suit but with shorts and tshirts. They said they were going to ask them to leave also, however they did not. My husband said after I left there were still lots of people swimming in the pool with shorts and tshirts and they were not asked to leave. This is a huge shame. Shame on you Griffith Park Pool for racial discrimination.
