If you have private insurance they might listen to you. But having medicaid they told me I was on drugs. This was the 2nd ER in 24 hrs. 1st ghetto ER was ghetto so I thought to go to PIH because they used to take care of anyone. If they see medicaid or like me having tremors, they all assumed i was on drugs. Labs came out negative n they wouldn't treat me for pain and essential tremors. Malpractice time??? Hmmm I think so why not, right? Signed myself out and getting more tremors n neurological issues, still. Trust your gut people. No longer a decent hospital. πππ

Gave birth to my boy here and had a greater experience. The staff is wonderful as well as some of the doctors. Really clean hospital and attentive staff. Highly recommend. Thank you Patsy and other wonderful nurses for your assistance π

My dad was admitted to PIH Whittier in Dec'21 & shortly after passed away. When we went to the hospital to retrieve his wedding ring & personal items, the staff couldn't remember what they did with them. Is there not a procedure for securing personal items removed from patients? After repeated phone calls, we are left with nothing. These items have minor monetary value but to the family of a deceased one, they are priceless. Will PIH take some accountability for this situation?

Whittier rehab department called to cancel my appointment that was three weeks out due to staff problems. PIH use to be so good with their bedside manners I donβt know what happened after Covid it if you donβt like your job then donβt work there. Nobody is accountable for anything that happens at PIH Iβve been trying to schedule an appointment for occupational therapy since February 22 I found one three weeks after that and then they called to cancel it I still havenβt received any therapy my right hand.

Hi Daniel, there are many rules governing Fraud, Waste, and Abuse. If a person comes to a hospital who isn't who they claim to be, that would be considered fraud. IDs are required no matter where you go for health care.
Think it Started in June
Very true...unless u pay $$$$
What office?
Visiting Hours Are Open. But Reception Is Closed At 9, So Visitors Check In At The Emergency department
It's depeds it's less people on the morning than the night it's get full inside.. If your lucky, you will be seeing by a nice good doctor.. If not you will be regretting and wasting your time..
2 hours to 2 weeks. Depends on the test.
I can't imagine that HR could give you his last name if you did call them. But you could send your Thank You note along in a letter to the hospital, attention to HR. Explain just like you did in your post, with dates and hours he was taking care of your Dad. Don't forget to give your Dad's name. Hopefully HR would easily be able to figure out who was your Dad's nurse, and see to it that he gets your thank you. This way the gentleman gets your appreciation and the bosses get to know what a great job he did.
Hi. Visiting hours are 1130 AM - 830 PM seven days a week
The average wait time for what?
Hospital not urgent care
It all depends of what area of the hospital are you going to. But as soon as you walk in to the lobby the volunters ther will give you the right info. Also you can call in advance to get the right info.
Whos this
Yes they are contracted with Scan members. Great hospital.
They allow only 1 visitor however you need to show proof of being vaccinated or have proof of a negative 72 hour COVID test with proof of identification.
I tried calling and they advised me to call my insurance provider.
I believe it is best to ask that question to your Health physician or a licensed nutritionist.
Health Information Management (aka Medical Records).
