If I am going to a Safeway in this general area it's going to be in North Bend on Virginia Ave. 97459 , it's possibly the best Safeway I have experienced shopping at for many reasons. This review is for the North Bend Store. My experience at the location in Coquille would be ⭐⭐ . Wanted to purchase a Safeway Gift Card and could not locate. Waited in checkout line for assistance and the clerk said they didn't have any. Bummer. So I purchased what was in the cashier's reach which was a beef stick so I could get cash back , no problem. I left the beef stick with receipt with the cashier as a gift. I didn't think he would actually take it. Funny.

Small store and full of hundreds of items, friendly staff the store smells good.

Good luck finding anything that’s on sale in stock. The store is way too small and the isles are too narrow. Not comfortable during a pandemic plus it just can’t seem to accommodate this growing town. After only finding one thing on my list in stock, I gave up and left. The staff is always nice, I think that they really need to get more creative and organized on a corporate level to at least make sure there is enough product on the shelves.

They do pretty well, for such a small store. I appreciate the $5 box of organic spinach. There are some less-common items I want that they don't carry, so I have to go somewhere else (thus knocking off a star).
