Loved this place! A wonderful getaway: can't beat a peaceful, cozy, and very clean cabin with great river and trail access. If you travel with your dog, rest assured you'll feel not just tolerated but welcomed here. We appreciated the basket with throw sheets, a big towel, and dog biscuits. It was great to have multiple trails to access almost from the front door, and the food and general store over in Camp Sherman were a good distraction for the young ones. Definitely hope to return again in the future!

This is my new go-to weekend getaway spot, and I just returned from my third stay. Camp Sherman, and Cold Springs in particular, was recommended by friends who go every couple months and have stayed at many other cabin resorts in the area, and they consider this one to be the best value. Sure, some of the cabins have idiosyncrasies, but they each have all the necessities, including a full, functional kitchen and bathroom, comfortable bedding, a TV we never turn on, and a gas fireplace. Every single one is great for a couple, but many would feel cramped with two couples or a family. Each cabin is a little different, and over time our friends have figured out which ones work best for them. I now have a favorite or two myself. My biggest complaint is that none of the cabins we've stayed in have blackout curtains, and the morning sun is intense. Not everyone goes to bed at dusk and rises with the sun, especially when you're with a small group of friends (3 couples from different cities) who don't see one another very often and like to cook, drink, and stay up late talking, laughing, and playing board games. I really love Camp Sherman and the Oregon high desert. The Camp Sherman Store is a gem from a bygone era that has pretty much anything you might need for your stay and makes some of the best sandwiches and breakfast burritos I've ever had. The only other restaurant in town, ¡Hola!, serves some of the best Mexican/Peruvian food I've ever had. The walking/running trails along the Metolius are wonderful, and there are amazing hikes nearby (Black Butte and Three Fingered Jack in particular). It's a wonderful spot to relax and recharge your batteries. One of my favorite aspects is that there's no television or cellphone service, and the wifi is just adequate enough to communicate with the outside world or upload a couple photos, but not robust enough to spend your time there streaming movies or doing serious work. I'm already thinking about my next visit.

Absolutely loved it here. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The views were peaceful and quiet. We stayed in an RV but the cabins looked like they would be warm and cozy to stay in, sit on the porch and relax. Definitely recommend this beautifully hidden resort in the middle of Oregon.

Absolutely lovely! So quiet and clean. Our cabin was cozy and comfortable. Perfect for a family of 3-4. Easy access to hiking and fishing. Great scenery. Friendly, helpful staff. Bring your own hair dryer if you need it. Phone service is non-existent, wifi is spotty, so bring a book.
